What kinda rail should i make

Im makeing a back yard rail for summer, as of now i ahve 16 flat and 24 dubble kink. I cant only be 26 feet max and only be like 3 feet high at the start.

I cant spell so get use to it or il spork you to death

Depends if you want an easy one to practice harder stuff on it or a hard one just to clear it or a crazy one (like a ^ Y rail), and if you're good or not.

i made a dragontale outta pvc by heating it up and bending and i made the frame and everything but then it sucked and i never finished it and then i my parents made me burn it cause it was taking up space and then i cried like a little baby not really but owell

yea im about 1/2 done with a Battle ship 1' 6' at start and 2' 6' at flat. Its 8 up 8 flat 8 up

what im worried about is speed, cuse as of now i have just enugh speed to do my flat up flat. MY flat up flat is 10 ft flat witch is a foot high and then the up is 5 feet and 2 feet high and thr flat is 10 feet long.

i couldnt imagine u needing more speed then being able to clear a flat up flat rail.

hey Newskoolkavana when you heated up the PCV to bend it did it become any weaker do you think, also what size PVC did you use?

you con't need to heat it !!! just go buy PVC conduit. it is greay and can bend. get 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch. make a wooden frame then screw it on. it bends so no heating is involved. it slides like a charm. i have done it.

Once again you don't need a form of heat, as long as u can make a sutry frame to screw the pvc to. just use PVC conduit. it is flexible.

Im thinking of making a 30 foot flat down flat rail, but how would i join the PVC pieces and still keep the transition between pieces smooth and slideable.

just make the flat drop down about 1/4 inch to the down so u can't feel it. and u have to have a hill for that rail, unless u make it like 8 feet tall. i suggest making it 2 pieces. and i would make 10 feet flat to 15 down. and make the flat part at a slant actually. like 3 feet on one end and 1 on the other, then when u put it on a hil, with the lil end in the front, it is flat. then just make a 15 foot flat rail that is 3 feet tall. that will be the down part. any questions? a know it is sorta confusing, but just read it.

no PVC does not make you catch 'hardcore edges' .. unless you can't grind

next winter i've planned out a rail to rail gap.. each rail is a 10 foot long shotgun, hand crafted with 2x4 and PVC piping.. one will incline 1ft and the other will decline a 1ft.. and the gap will be 4-5ft

Yea i ended up makeing a battle ship 8up, 8flat, 8 down. As of now its hard as hell cuse not enugh speed but im going to sink it in the ground, cuse its 3 ft tall now.

yeah, if i could have a single rail in my backyard, besides a plain old flat rail, i'd have a dragontail. Just make a flat rail, and at the last 6-7 feet, make it curve up into a nice little kick.

well, you already have the flat rail and the kink for practicing tech tricks on like switch ups and spins. i say make a rail super hard to clear. make a fucking flat up flat down flat up rail.

 
get creative..do a a-frame to flat or a flat to a-frame. that'd be pretty sick looking.

i just bent it in the right shape then tied it like that, then i poured boiling water on it a bunch of times, that pretty much worked

get a trampoline somewhere and make an s-rail with one half by welding it together and then make a rollercoaster with the other half. thats what is in my backyard for this winter

 
you cant do kink rails and all that stuff with PVC man trust me...In my friends backyard he has a bunch of PVC rails and those ones that go up or like down or whatever well their edges catch

buy a long pvc tube that is flexible to do a rollercoaster, you can buy them at home depot
