What is the best metal? where should we get our supplies?

search the forums for materials and you can get everything you need at home depot or any other hardware store

some good topsheets are:

-astro turf

-instant cement mix

-shag carpet

-a piece of wood with nails sticking out of it (very good)

-or straight up sand or dirt

just make a nice wood frame that has supports that are wider than it is high. pressure treated wood will hold up best in snow but it is more expensive and heavier. and use some lexan as the top sheet. it is like plexyglass and is what most new boxes are made from. make sure to cover the edges with something so the edges dont start to crack. and make sure you suport the lexan because it is thin and week so it cant support itself. so yeah wood and laxan and maybe mettle edges to cover the edges. hope that helped

 
lexon but it's verry exspencive my freinds scored on some 3m was going to throw out like the got about 8 feet of it and that would be about 150 bucks in the store

i found a 24"x48" polycarbonate sheet that is stronger than plexi glass at lowes for 25 bucks

if you can score some candidqte "vote for me" signs around election time, they are like thin plastic, that works like a charm for a top sheet

Im making a box and i am using polyethene, slides very well, and i dont think the kind of metal will matter, you would just want it to be light. I will be posting pics and stuff when im done, in a week or two.
