What It’s Like to Swim in a Lake With Millions of Jellyfish

I mean... if they're pretty much harmless, I'm game. Pretty wild how those jellys are able to survive.

Fuck stinging jellyfish otherwise.

Well if you have ever swam in saltwater you have probably been swimming with that many clear jelly fish around you. I lol at people who are afraid of going in saltwater because "a shark is gonna bite me" or "I can't see through the water".

that was dope as shit, when i was little my friends and i would have jellyfish fights at the beach, that shit hurt when u got hit in the back with a decent sized one

those are weird looking jellyfish, like a combination of moon jellies (they fucking light up at night!!!)nand the stinging ones. that would be soooooo cool to swim in.

fucking jellyfish creep me out, I once ran into them in the middle of fucking maine, I didn't know they existed this far up! Scared me for life

a couple of summers ago the cape got fucking infested with them because the water was so warm. like, you couldn't fucking go in the water without fighting them off with a plastic toy shovel.

i may do.

but stinging jelly fish scare the living shit out of me. each year i go to the cape, and go swimming/body boarding, if i see a little jellyfish, i wont go out for the rest of the day... or im just parinoied about it

Same.

And where in the cape? I go to Yarmouth Port every summer. Not many jellyfish in there but on the Ocean side they scare the shit out of me.

i get stung by fucking jellys probably about once a year in the surf... they hurt no me gusta. however non sting jellys would be sick to go dive through

The video is insane. I don't think I would be able to do that though. I don't like touching slimy, squishy stuff. It creeps me out for some reason. :O

Bethany Beach, Delaware, we used to have jellyfish fights with the clear ones. They looked really similar to these. No sting except when you got slapped upside the face with one.

im terified of spiders and cant be in the same room (knowingly) with a live one and i would pay 10 or more dollars to be able to swim with those jellies right now, that video looked amazing

Well mad props to you, For some reason they just look like those little spiders that have massive bodies and tiny legs and scare the fuck out of me

So sick. I went snorkeling of the coast of Jamaica and there were a ton of jellies just floating around a few feet below the surface. I was so sick to just chill under water and watch them. Love it

Yep Jersey shore right here, we would (and still do every summer) wing them frisbee style at eachother, drop them on sleeping friends, and spank eachother with them. ah summer.

sick. I was listening to "I Used to Love H.E.R." when I started watching, and it was so chill and mellow.

I've been stung by jellyfish over 20 times during two weeks vacationing in Hilton Head SC during the summer a while ago. Every time I go I get stung at least a few times. But one vacation I got stung 20 something times. Not fun.

Hmm, oddly enough, I'm at university of delaware right now. going home tomorrow to NJ.
non-stinging jellys are fine but fuck stinging ones. I hate those.

yeah that doesn't work. I think salt water is good, or any creme designed to stop the stinging. Freshwater messes with ion balances and eventually releases more venom. Plus some of the stingers are left on you so touching it is a bad idea too.
those jellyfish in the video look like they'd kill if you got hit by them. funny that they're harmless.
