My first car, It was the gateway to freedom that every 17 year old dreams about. Hauling around a bunch of friends to wherever we wanted, burning a tank of gas in a night just because we could. Sneaking out and meeting up with the gf late at night and sleeping in it when parties got busted.

My current car is fun as fuck but only has two seats so I kinda miss that

I was really proud of my Lego space station until I came home from elementary school to find my little brother had knocked it off the counter

TL;DR: my sister brought my truck to show and tell in kindergarten and i have never forgiven her for it.

Oh god, I have a story very similar to this. Picture a young me, i had just started to get old enough to follow lego building instructions. Around that same time the dino-attack play sets had just come out. For my birthday i got the Dino-attack jeep, it was the coolest thing i had ever seen, all i had to do was build it. So, with the help of my dad, i got that thing built in 4 hours and spent the next 5 playing with it non-stop, but soon it was time for bed. I arose early that day to admire the work i had recently completed, but soon after i had to go to school. I sat in class all day eagerly watching the clock, counting the hours, the minutes, even the seconds until i could go home and play with my legos. Finally the bell rings and i leap out of my seat and ran out to my mom who was waiting for me and my sister. My sister was in kindergarten at the time and left for school several hours after me. So i run up to the car and there is my sister just sitting there refusing to make eye-contact with me, i simply brush it off and proceed to ignore her the rest of the ride home. Finally we get home and jump out of the car and run into the house to find my lego jeep, but its missing. so i run back out to the car where my mom and sister are still getting out, and i hear a familiar noise, the sound of hundreds of individual plastic blocks smacking against each other. I then rip my sisters back pack out of her hands and open it up, and there in a plastic doggie bag is my truck, a lone wheel on top of the rubble that was and remains to this day my most prized possession.y sister brought my truck to show and tell in kindergarten and i have never forgiven her for it.

Without question it's my bike. It is a beautiful machine, a machine whose potential is greater than the sum of its parts.

I'm surprised the number of people that say their laptop is their favorite possession. I fucking hate my laptop. It's a really good laptop that I spent a lot of money on, but it doesn't bring me happiness. It's for work and when the work is done I want to smash the fucker into pieces and never look at it again.

I've been using the same backpack for 19 years. It's a minified-version of this (same color and brand):

Good thing I'm just realizing this now so I can keep treating it carefully.

Me and some friends had a sailing yacht for a few years. All wood and old, we put a lot of time in it and restored it. That alone was great fun, lots of weekends working on the boat, share laughs, tough jobs and beers. Later we made some sweet sailing trips all around the Netherlands but we all had to little time to keep the yacht in shape or sail and sold the boat..
