I have lived most of my life in Colorado, but before my family moved out here, we lived at Snowshoe in West Virginia. I ski raced at various small resorts in West Virginia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, etc. I have never been back East to ski. One of my favorite things is seeing photos and videos guys have posted up skiing all of these little resorts where I raced as a kid. And then I noticed an add for Canaan Valley. They used to have a race there every year called the Governors Cup. I took first in my age group one year and still have the trophy. What I really enjoyed was this awesome kicker they had. It was on the hill they built up for the unload station on a lift. Kind of like a natural stepover.

Anyway, NS is a site where "you nostalgia, you win".
 
The fact that I consider people on here my friends even though I will never meet them. I like legit care about some members.

After the Arapahoe school shooting i sent SFB a message just making sure he was OK and how bummed i would be if something bad happened to him. There are a handful of people here that bring me back everyday.

Pretty much this. My life would be way different if I hadn't made an account.
 
The people for several reasons.

First of all, like you all already said, it's incredible how people you may never meet can have an impact on my life. I can't believe how many NS friends I have, and how helpful they are. I love being able to get help, and help you all out, it's really priceless.

I also really like the people on a larger scale. I never would have imagined that anyone would want to see my skiing pictures or read articles about skiing I write. Having that likeminded audience that can encourage critique and engage with everything I produce is so valuable. It's due in a large part to NS and it's community that I am now pursuing journalism and photography aggressively, and writing, filming and shooting more than ever. Thanks NS

That sucks, I used to have the Dino sticker so dope. Just message Bishop and if they still ignore you I'd prolly create a thread in NSG to draw more attention to it. Just don't act pissed off and explain the whole situation and you'll prolly get some support.
 
I loved newschooles before but after this weekend my opinion has been changed forver.

I love all the people I've met from it, the fact that there are people who will shred with you even though you've never met. The stoke is high on this site, and the community is everything.

to be honest ive acted cool and calm for years, they can dodge my private messages and all they want, the moderators and owners of this shit website are scumbags. like how long can you ignore my request and private messages. Bishop can go fuck himself, people who profit off of 15 year olds with nothing in return are fucking scum bags.

Hahahahahaha. There definitely is, but my brain is too fried to think of it right now. I'm going to be skiing with my team tomorrow, it'll hit me and I'll probably fall off the chairlift. Thanks a lot Darryl.
