What is wrong with winter?

Minneapolis and southern Minnesota currently dont have any snow on the ground while the majority of northern Minnesota could be seeing over 2 feet of snow by the end of the week. I live in Minneapolis and I'm hurting right now, luckily I get to go north these next two weekends but the difference in snow over a distance of just under 200 miles is driving me insane. Help.
 
Yeah dude it's dumping up here in Duluth, and when I was home in the cities yesterday there was literally nothing haha kinda sucks for you guys
 
Count your blessings man, at least it's been cold enough to blow snow every day. I'll take cold with no snow over the shittiness that was 2011-2012 winter.
 
very true, also minneapolis is getting some stuff tonight through wednesday. I'm calling 8 inches. hoping for 12.
 
Sick. I was just looking online - 26 inches near two harbors, 16+ in Duluth. Can't wait to go to Lutsen later this month
 
In Iowa it got really cold for a while but now its warming up and the fake snow is all melting. I think its time for a trip to northern minnesota
 
Shit. Minneapolis only got 3-4 inches. Now it's cold. Luckily I was able to set up my PVC pipe rail last night in a way that I could throw pretty much anything without worrying about getting hurt.
 
update... Apparently a spot near two harbors got 39 inches. Minnesota backcountry anyone?
 
That sounds bomb AF, the natural terrain in that area is unreal. Too bad I'm just a highschooler in minneapolis with no car, no freedom, and no hope of skiing stuff like that for two years. Crap...

Well luckily on winter break I'll be taking my skis to a massive gravel pit in northern minnesota on that has a few 20 ft cliffs and about 200ft vert. Probably 30-50 inches of powder by then. Can't wait to tomohawk on my park skis.
 
Damn, wish I still lived up in Duluth. There is no snow down here in Davenport, and probably won't be for another couple days or weeks. Luckily it has been cold enough to blow snow, so my home hill is opening up tomorrow.
