What is wrong with Pollard?

I was reading the new Freeze mag and I was mad at what Pollard was saying about LINE. In the article he was saying that the company need to make new product or they were not going to been on top. Well didn’t they make a pro model ski for him, didn’t they make a new line up of all the new LINE clothing. So now this is why I get mad, a pro skier is complaining about the company that he is sponsored by is not on the top. Well if I was the owner of LINE I drop his sponsored ship because he is not saying good thing about LINE, if I had a sponsored ship with LINE hell yea I’m going to say the best thing I can about LINE because I know that if I say bad stuff about LINE they would Kick the shit out of me and then kick me to the curve. So let me tell you this Pollard, LINE is doing fine and they maybe not on the top of the charts for the best ski company out there but I think they are.

i don't know what context he was saying this is cause i havent read it for myself, its definately not reppin your ompany good to bad mouth them, but i definately dont think they should drop pollard, he's amazingly good

hmmm..... drop pollard..... what a BAD plan considering he is probably their best skier, as well as thier most respected skier, and yeah he has every right to say that stuff cuz its true, i mean they just came out with carving skis, the binding has almost completly fallen through (we will see if after 2 years of delay its actaully as good as they claim) they do need some new shit, to get more people to ride for them. Yeah the pollard pro did just come out, but have u read anything about it? Its not designed for ur average riding, maninly to daominate backcountry. Lots of people stayed behind line because they changed stuff up all the time, these last years they havent done that enought(this year they didnt even through down new graphics!!!) With new companys like 4frnt and Armada and Faction skis, they need to distigush themselves, because all those company's are trying to convey a ridder driven image. So tho i still suport line, they definitly do need to change the direction the company is headed in.

Tell you the truth i think its dope that Pollard is saying what he thinks. You can't be scared to do that if it'll help your company progress. Shit Tanner even did it with Oakley. If anyone has the new Axis and has read the Tanner and Pep interview then they know what i'm talkin' about. Pep said that Oakley gives him pretty much all their gear when its new but some of it isn't that great but didn't they he should say anything. Tanner spoke up and said he agreed and that he will definitely say that. He even said that he doesn't wear all the stuff they give him because he doesn't like it and it needs some help.

Anyway a team isn't gonna boot a rider due to his opinion. Pollard is also the only guy who rides with LINE who doesn't have Siver Cartel as his sponsor. Even though Mike made the company Pollard stuck with his Da Kine sponsorship.

 
line definately doesnt suck, im not arguing that there the greatest but i bet most people saying that they are horrible either, hasnt tried there skis, or had 1 bad experience with there product, however i dont see everyone sayin rossi sucks cause last years sratches were delaming, or saying all of K2 sucks cause the origanal eenemys used to delam

well i have had 2 expiernces with line, skogens delamed, but i got the mike nick 171's early because of it, so it was all good, untill the edge broke, so i got another pair under warenty, sold em and got BC's for 50 more, then i get stress cracks in the topsheets, so i got the 04 bc's underwarenty, and thats whats being mounted as we speak, so say waht u will all skis break no matter what comapny, and i love it. It gets me free skis

I think he has a little better postitioning to say the things he did that what you are trying to bring across now. He has had to put up with the company for a few years now, I am sure he knows exactly what he is talking about. Maybe it will take something like this for him to get what he wants.

i can't think of anything better than a sponsored rider telling the truth about what he thinks. maybe the fact that he says what he says and still rides line skis should tell you something. (no, i haven't read the article in question. and yes, I think that line should have come out with newer ski designs this year, but what they have is still good. and furthermore, they have a sick warranty)

pollard is an amazing skier and line is a great company. without input or constructive criticism like that from riders then a company would go nowhere. look at salomon. cusson & auclair were there and salomon listened to them and helped bring the twin to the market. it then turned to a point where either salomon didn't listen or didn't take the advice now cusson and auclair are with armada who does everything greatly based on rider opinion. j lev doesn't ski too often where as his riders ski all the time. why the hell wouldn't he listen to what they have to say and respect it. all the riders on the line team have been there a long time and are loyal to line. no offense to j but i'm sure they have a little more sense in what needs to be done to help the company out.

yeah he cant just agree with what line is doing if he doesnt approve of it, just because your sponsored doesnt mean that you are contractually forced to say that line is the best and everything, he can voice his opinion even if it is flawed

whoever thinks that lines suck is completely wrong. true, some of their skis arent that good, but others are the best in their category. for just pure park, the 1260 rules and the mothership is definitely better than the pocket rocket and the seth pistol.
