I am gonna rant a little bit here. weed strains are like last names. just because a girl is hot doesnt mean her sister is
a skilled grower could take some "beasters" seeds (tends to mean commercially grown B.C. cash crop but some use it to refer to weed below headies) and could grow some plants that would be pretty nasty.
its not the name, its how its grown. and if it actually is the strain name of which you say (I am not gonna say you guys are wrong, I don't know your connects) and it is grown well, cured properly, etc then yes it will be some good bud. good strain + good growing means awesome, obviously.
but just for a second, think about these names you are throwing around. I can't say whether this is all bullshit or not, but I am willing to bet more than one person in this thread has never seen the strains they are dropping. think real hard. is your dealer your good friend? if hes not, are you at least on pretty good terms? and if you are, did he grow it himself? did his supplier grow it himself?
then think about this: dont you think its possible that a lot of dealers will toss out a name so they can charge an extra 10-15 bucks on your eighth? all my friends that deal at school do not go into this name bullshit. they get the same shit, pretty standard nugs, and sell it accordingly. if you are just buying off some kid, just remember...lots of white crystals means its good. the weed being purple, having lots of red hairs, all that other shit doesnt really matter.
remember also that growing weed is not that profitable. you have to do it on a large scale to make money. my friend grows, he is currently growing some aurora he ordered from a seed bank. its a lot of work and I would never do it for money. but you know what really eats into profits initially? buying expensive-as-hell strains from seedbanks. I just don't see too many growers who arent doing it for personal use doing this on a regular basis. once you can get some clones or let a few plants go to seed it might be ok.
dont flip out about what I am saying. its not always true. but just take this all into consideration.
also its different on the east coast in the U.S. than it is in california or canada
