What is the waterproofing on the Big Strides?

I’ve recently broken my ski pants from the edges of my skis cutting in and also from some bad crashes so I’ve been looking for new pants. The big strides seem like very good pants but I’ve just been concerned about the waterproofing, I’d like pants that are also all mountain pants and can with stand wet (powder) conditions and be baggy. If the big strides don’t have enough waterproofing for that are there any other options to consider? Also any good waterproofed jackets to consider that are also baggy and can withstand conditions?

They definitely get good reviews. Any idea about the specs of them?
 
the water resistance is pretty good stayed very dry for most of the season

They've been like my best ski pants for the edge cutting problems it still happens eventually but they hold on good and doesn't rip

theres been a problem with pocket/zipper that should be resolved now

Ive skied/work in them from October to may and had the first generation now they're even better

Idk, I just like to know about it before I buy it instead of buying shitty gear that doesn’t work.

I’m not saying the big strides are shitty but just that I don’t want to spend my money on bad stuff since I only have a limited amount. I can’t just throw money into each new ski product.

I think Dan mentioned the original big strides drop was 10k waterproofing and updated to 15k when he revised the zippers and materials for all subsequent batches. Don't quote me, but I remember that being the case.

Regardless, I have a full season skiing shitty, rainy, slushy, cold and warm mid-atlantic conditions in the original 10k version and I'm very satisfied with the waterproofing. Grabbed a preorder pair as well because of the improvements he's made since, and they're reasonably priced at 188 plus ship. Really hoping Dan makes them in a bib too.

Checked with Dan and I think someone else said this but it's 15k.
 
15k and it’s a 3L fabric for the outer material.

price will be $199 for all future releases. Tried my best to keep it at $188 but with all the upgrades I have to bump it up the $11 bucks. Worth it to avoid the headaches and heartbreaks of broken zippers plus we shouldn’t be having any other of the less common issues either.

gonna be the best version yet. Also stoked to introduce the new Big Swings jacket to compliment the strides this year. Really so rewarding to be putting out some proper outerwear and bringing that Arsenic flavor to it.

Same fabric as the new big strides- so 15k 3L. Great fit, pockets, and features. Lotta features to be honest! It’s based on an old Burton ronin jacket that I found in Montana during the last BYOBeanie tour. Then updated with all the details to have it function best for todays world.

The Big swing jacket is absolutely dope! I got the chance to try out the sample in the akamp parking lot (Thanks Dan!!, feeling blessed), and immediately fell in love !
