What is the nicest thing a stranger has done for you?

i think the nicest thing a stranger ever did for me was when i was in target or walmart one time christmas shopping, i only brought enough money to buy one thing that i was getting for my sister and i guess the sale had ended so the price went up $15 and i didn't have enough for it and the guy behind me in line just handed me a twenty. seriously the nicest thing ever.

i think the best thing i've ever done, or at least the thing that made me feel the best was when a lunch lady at my school died, and no one made an announcement about it or anything, and me and a friend of mine went down to the office and talked to the principal about why it was kind of an insult to her memory. i dunno, i bet many people on here have done way better things, but that just made me feel good.

one time me and my friends were waiting for some girls outside this really fancy italian place in NYC and this dude comes out with like the hottest girl ever and saw us waiting, and he wanted to look like a pimp in front of his girl, so he gave us a hundred dollar bill and a huge cigar, and told us to enjoy ourselves. we ended up ditching the girls, buying a shitload of weed, and having a night on the town

I can definitely think of the meanest thing a stranger did. I was sick as hell but i decided a walk in fresh air would do me some good. So i was walking around lutsen i think and i just like could not do it anymore so i just like dropped into a snowbank and started throwing up for like ten minutes. All the while these people were unloading their car and just gave me dirty looks, i was pissed.

first you sit in yo hand till yo hand turns numb

den u jerk yo penis till u start to WAHHHH

all alone in the crib, you know what i did

i gave myself a stranger till i let off some kids

GIVE YOSELF A STRANGER GIVE YOSELF A STRANGER

Some lady abandoned her dog where i work so I took him home. I didn't have any dog food or anything to give him, so one of the ladies that comes to the pool everyday brought me some dog food and dog toys for him.

Around Thanksgiving and Christmas time when I go through the drive-through for fast food places I go ahead and pay for the meal behind me too. Especially if it's a minivan and I see a super stressed out mom with her kids in the back.

i lost my friends camera at blue mountain last year and someone turned it in to the lost and found. it was a really nice camera too

my favorite member of this site (before i knew her really) saw me write in a thread that i was looking for a particular beanie but couldn't find it....next thing I know she messaged me asking for my address and telling me that she had a brand new extra that she didn't mind sending me, and told me to pay it forward. A week later I had it. Nicest thing a stranger (at the time) had ever done from me. (btw it was snwbrdmilf so go give her +k because she's awesome)

i was at BK and i was short 3 bucks on an order and the lady just let me have it...i thought it was pretty nice.

probably not the nicest thing a stranger has done for me but somethin i remember

i guess this isnt really super stranger related but a buddy of mine's friend who i didnt really know too well broke his collarbone when i was riding with him. Everybody had rolled back to town already and we were going to take the bus. I took him to the little hospital, where you have to pay the day you go in. He didnt have any money so i gave him a few hundred bucks. We're super tight now

I was in a Subway one time and the lady in front of me payed for me to get a $5 footlong. And one time a random stranger gave my moms car a full tank of gas when we ran out. And he didn't want any money for it either. Another time a random stranger jump started our car. And I was at this amusement park and I wanted to get some food but I was out of money, so this random cashier who was on break came over and payed for me, and 4 of my friends lunches. It was like 40 bucks.

I payed for some peoples food who were behind me at a Taco Bell one time. And I gave 20 bucks to these guys who needed some money for gas. I also gave these people who were lost directions on how to get back to the freeway. And I payed for my friend to get into this one party.

i cant think of any real specific moments, but my ass has been saved countless times by random strangers. seriously. if you are a just a generally nice person, people will do fucking anything for you. whenever i see someone in need i try to help out, i always try to make the effort. and it seems like it pays itself off nearly %100 percent of the time.

I drive to Mass from Vt about once every other month because i have family and freinds down there, about 2 years ago i was going through the toll on 93 and when i got to the window the woman told me that the car infront of me had already paid my toll. It was great how a little thing like that made my whole weekend better. Now whenever i go through a toll booth i pay for the car behind me.

I turned in a 32gb ipod touch to snoqualmie, left my phone number and told the people at the desk to call me when/if someone claimed it (not gonna lie, i was hoping for free ipod touch) but they never did. I'm reasonably certain they just waited until i left and then pocketed it...

I was buying a paper outside of Tim Hortons and a homeless guy was like "Hey, you don't need to put money in you know" then he hit the machine and it opened and I got my paper. I just gave him the 2 bucks. Pretty nice homeless guy.

not half this country, have this god damn world.
i swear to god its a sight to see someone with a decent bone in their bodies this day man.
its a rare occasion for someone to say 'thanks' to me for even holding the door open for them.

i've given people a few bucks here and there, and for some reason i remember this:

i was in 1st grade and we were running the mile. i really wanted to do well in it (1st grade running, haha) so i was running reaaaally fast. i was on my 4th lap of 4, and a girl in front of me was on her third. she tripped and fell on the sidewalk and started crying and stuff. now i stopped running, and helped her to the nurses' office and got second to last place proudly.

some people have hooked me up with money, but i always feel bad about it (if i know them) and will always pay them back. i can't really remember any specific things though...

i thought this thread was the nicest thing a stranger has done for you. and this is so damn cliche i dont even feel enlightened or whatever the word im loking for is. -K to you.

thats pretty chill

Some kid on ns sent me a lanyard for free that he had an extra of, pretty nice most kids on ns would sell it not just give it away

Turned in $400 dollars cash that was outside of a grocery store in an envelope about four days before Christmas. It was hard to do, but I just thought to myself "what if its some little old lady and its all she has for Christmas presents." Well, turns out it was haha...She did send me some delicious cookies in the mail....not $400 dollars though...

fuck yeah man. i consider myself a really trustworthy person in these kind of situations and im impressed you turned it in considering it was cash. nice job

cool sotry- one time i was on the beach in rhode island with my two little cousins, and this older gentleman (65+) came up to us and asked if we could help bring a few groceries into his house. we said of course and each brought one bag of stuff into his house and he gave us each 20 $ My two cousins went running back to the beach but i stuck around to give the money back cause obviously the guy was being rediculous, and he says " oh no its fine" i handed it to him anyways and he said "no really, keep it, i played football for the Patriots so ive got plenty of money". Anyways cool story i think. never did figure out who it was.

One time when I was around 13 I went to this soccer camp and halfway through the camp ended up tearing both quads at once. The camp manager came over and helped me onto a golfcart so I could get back to my dorm. After he helped me pack, since I couldn't walk, let alone play soccer, he personally dragged all my stuff to his car and gave me a lift the entire 2 hours back to my home. Along the way back he both offered me a job at the camp for the following year and gave me 20$ spending money for a trip that I was taking with my church 2 weeks from then. I hadn't known him at all before then, but I will always remember his generosity.

I have a 96 ford ranger with no 4WD and since its really light i get stuck in snow a lot. One time 4 different cars stopped to push me out and i couldnt stop once i started going to i didnt even get to tell them thanks.

Also at copper last year i was driving my roomates truck and these people next to me needed a jump. So after i jumped them another person asked me for a jump. I jumped 4 different cars that day. always makes you feel good about yourself when you help strangers.

i was coming back from yellowstone by myself, and was in the sandiego airport, my last stop before going home. I had no more money left cuz i was only supposed to have a 30 minute layover in sandiego. Turns out my flight was delayed 8 fucking hours, i had no money and was starving as fuck. This random guy came up to me and gave me 10 bucks to buy pizza, was really stoked.

The other week i ran out of gas and used the razor scooter i always keep in the back of my car to scooter a mile or two to the sketchiest gas station i had ever been to. I got a gas can full of gas and then a guy in a truck gave me a ride back to my car so i didn't have to scooter back in the rain and told me to pay it forward.

two random ones that come to mind...

give me a shirt when we caught it at the same time at triple threat.

(bit of me being nice to a stranger/stranger being nice to me) on a greyhound a lady asked me to sit with her and chat so she wasn't lonely (very long bus ride) in return she got me food.

me to a stranger... found a wallet with about 300$ cash, took it all to the lost and found on the mountain. really hoping the worker i gave it to didn't snag the cash...

The other day I woke up and walked outside my building and was immediately greeted by a random guy saying "Have a nice day"... It was pretty cool even tho it was so simple

I got a hand job on the bus.

gota love the kindness of strangers, and the intimacy a mid day greyhound coach on a long trip over the prairies.

I need to drop this in my threads, and take some time to think. People have done some really cool stuff for me, and I always try to pay the goodness forward.

It's probably the coolest thing ever when your in a bad situation or something has gone wrong, and somebody you know or a complete stranger drops a random act of kindness.

I really believe we are all connected. Being a dick to everyone gets you nowhere. that little thing your do for somebody good mean a lot more to them than you will ever know.

i believe in karma(not ns karma) real karma. You shouldn't do stuff just with the intentions of getting something back though.

Even something as small as giving somebody a few bucks for gas to get home. If everyone cared a little bit more about each other the world wouldn't be such a sad place sometimes.

Seriously, the next time you have the chance to help somebody out, go for it.

I was taking the midnite bus from montana to colorado, it was a 16 hour or so ride. We had a 2 hour layover in wyoming in the middle of the night to switch busses. I fell asleep at a table in the bus stop, and this crack head woke me up when the bus was leaving. Thank god for that nice woman.
