WHAT IS THE MOST BUTTERY SKI

I'm getting a new pair of skis soon and i want something thats really buttery and has a nice swing weight I've heard the LINE Elizabeths, Fatypus G butters, and Armada T Halls r good but I'm open to suggestions

 
I have the Punx. I ride them all-mountain cause it's those or my fatty pow skis. The Punx are soft as hell and riding in the powder is so shitty, it's hard to describe how bad it is. In any mixed snow conditions as well the Punx are pretty much garbage because of how soft they are tip and tail.

It sound's like you want an all-mountain park ski or a stiffer park ski than something really soft...
 
If you want a buttery do it all ski though the K2 Kung Fujas are pretty nice. They are soft tip and tail, can rip powder or groomers and shred rails and jumps.
 
i have stiff al mountain atomics that suck at everything so i want to try out some buttery skis now because buttery skis don't need good conditions or features to have fun with
 
id say i ride like 40% park 50% off trail/glades and then 10% groomers so i basically just want a short light ski that can handle the pow
 
They aren't bone crushingly stiff, i can still butter line chronics just takes a little more effort they are such a fun ski they feel really lively,poppy and light can't comment for the ar7 as i've never ridden them
 
thats what i was thinking of getting but i wondered if the lizzies are too fat sometimes, like when there isn't a ton of snow
 
i've ridden pairs of lizzies the past 4 years. the only thing they suck in is chopped up old snow and moguls. and if you're bigger than 5'9ish and 150+ lbs, they arent ideal for powder. you'll get a little tip dive, but still are tons of fun
 
i live on the east coast so i don't see much pow I'm really jus worried about how well they r on ice and man made snow and if i would be better of getting something a lil skinnier
 
sry for the second reply, but search lizzies to find tons of threads describing them. there's tons of info on them.

I don't think you could go wrong with thalls, TC ski, joysticks, or lizzies. just pick a waist size you're comfortable with.
 
what do u think would be good for me I've need skied anything fatter than a 85 so idk about the anthems and lizzies (90 and 110)
 
Well that being said, Elizabeths will be too short, and same with the Joystick These. Best bet is to get some 182 Atomic Patents
 
i have some atomic panics that are 173 and they feel perfect so i think the 172 of the lizzies will b fine and i can get the t halls in like 176
 
This is where people start disagreeing with me, but you should look into something longer. Especially for your size. A 180+ length might feel like a change, but you'll love it once you're used to it. More stability for landings and pretty much everywhere. Better handling as well. If you're an advanced skier, you can easily handle something that is more suited to your height
 
i guess length is just preference I've heard center mounting skis makes them feel shorter so i will have to look into 178-180's
 
I would agree with everyone else and say that you don't want anything too soft, you'll kick yourself for it after day 1. So ar7's or chronics would be a good bet. You could also look into rockered skis, they have a smaller turn radius (which helps in trees), can be pretty stiff yet because of the rise can still be buttery.
 
It does come down to preference. For you, I strongly suggest something like a 178 Line Anthem. I've been skiing some, and I'm a little bigger than you, I find them short, but I'm sure you'd love them. Centre mount them and boom! You'll be fine
 
Or listen to what Dannad54 said and look into a rockered ski, my suggestion would be the ON3P Filthy Rich. 181, centered, rocker shape, they kill it everywhere, especially the park
 
Rockered skis are great for buttering. It actually makes the skis a little easier to butter.

Anthems are amazing for buttering. Really smooth and soft.

You might just have to wait until next season though, this late in the season, most of the stuff is sold out.
 
Well it's March now, and If your season is almost done, why not just wait till next season? Fresh batch of everything
