What is the meaning of life?

I traveled to the Himalayas to ask a Tibetan monk this very question. After countless hours of climbing an Icy peak I found a temple. I walked into the temple and sat down in front of this monk. I asked him "What is the meaning of life". He responded "A tea cup". Discontent I told him I found out I had wasted my time. He then said "I guess it's not your cup of tea"

So that is your cup of tea, but may not be mine. Everyone has a different cup of tea. The purpose of existence is to define it for yourself. We as humans are the only creature that can decide what we want to do. Dogs bark, Cats meow, and we do as we please.

i watched the first ten seconds of that and when searlight came across the screen thought it said searchbar and was incredibly stoked

easy.... Fuck Bitches, Get Paid.

or on a more philosophical note do you think whales or dolphins ponder such meaningless questions...

We're actually all in the Matrix!

The reason the movie came out is so nobody in RL would ever actually believe it!!! o.O

if we are here not to do what you and i wana do and go forever crazy with it then why the hell we are even here.

I watched the first 5 minutes of that and It kinda started to piss me off witht the weird ass colors and shit

a "RAPPER" such as "Lil' Wayne" would most likely say:

"Fuck Bitches Git Money",

However we educated folk here on NS know it is in fact 42 and/or skiing.

lol i asked this question to my bio teacher last year and he said " A wet bird never flys at night" i looked at him like he was smokin crack or something then just walked out the door.

what in the shit is that? i got up to the point of where the dude got picked up in the boat taxi, what is happening in that video?

no meaning (that we know of). we're just here. skiing is just something some of us do. if there was a meaning, people wouldn't have to make up stupid stories about unseen beings in the sky that put us here and gave us rules.

It's Waking Life. A rotoscoped film by Richard Linklater about a man who is trapped in a lucid dream. The film's theme stresses the importance and concept of the human psyche, amongst others.

the movie is called waking life. it gives some crazy, awesome and fucked up perspectives on what life is and what it is all about, this movie is crazy, watch the whole thing and really pay attention. trust me its worth it.

I've watched waking life in the neighborhood of 20 times, and I take away new meaning each time I watch it. I think this is because I'm getting older, and each successive time I watch it I have gone through new experiences and created new connections in my brain, building new bridges so to speak, and the ideas presented in waking life that I might have passed over before become relevant, or relevant in a new way.
