I just started skiing this year, before that I snowboarded for five years! Skiing is way better it just feels more natural. I’m looking for a good way to progress. I want to ride park and I’m just looking for any tips basically. What should I start with?

Peace,

start spinning both ways and hitting jumps switch looking over both shoulders before it gets to late. this stuff has to come in the start or at the start of a season. it's hard to learn mid season. take on year hucking and learning as much as posible, then use next year on steezing ti up with your own tune

um ski...thats what everyone else did...dont be affraid to fall either...shit happens its worth it in the end

ya frootbooting does help alott but the best thing u can do is go balls out dont be afraid to try new stuff. and learn a trick a day have goals then you wont get tired with old stuff. most tricks help others out so learn everything both ways.

it was my first year last year skiing i too was snowboarding before now im doing 720 900 flair 270 in stuff like that just try to ski with the sickest skier it will make you try new stuff because you see them doing crazy trick thats how i did it and go ski every day you can... dont be scare if you fall try it again until you get it

Don't be a vagina and just do everything that is in front of you. and try to do the tricks all teh cool kids are doing.

Ski with people who push you to do things. Do not get out of your comfort zone, but skiing with people is the best way to progress. You feed off each other.

just get the basics down first, then focas on park skiis. dont rush into the park. get good on some corderiod skiing

^ Let me add to that... Pratice as hard as you can all the time, everytime. Regardless of the weather or conditions. Just push yourself as hard as you can while being smart.

set something up really close to ur home, like in ur bacyard. i have a rail in my yard and i can practise everyday on it and it helps alot

wear hockey pads and make up crazy tricks with friends and rock paper scissers for who has to try them

Well, if you got the standard jibbing technique down and you can huck urself off a jump, practice shizt on a tramp. MY friend took trampoline and now he can d-spin 7.

learn to get shit done on the mountain. if you wanna ski park and get GOOD, dont go dick around with people who come to the mountain to ski groomers. Focus on a trick and hike till you get it

Visualize everything all the time. And like taht one guy said start spinning both waysa and hitting stuff fakie. Expose yourself to alot of media, vidoes and pics and such. Just visualize yourself skiing constantly.

Maybe if you eat some magical skiing pills you can become a superstar over night.

What a dinkus. Go out and ski ying yang.

don't just stand or sit at the top of the park and watch people. Hit as many jumps in one day as you possibly can, everyday.

what i did was me and my friend would be in the park and before you do any rail or any jump you have to say what ur gonna do. and if you dont do it you get punched and you have to do it next run. it helped out cuz it forced u not to chicken out. and also dont pick easy tricks doing this

no you would think so.. but i hit the park 7 days a week from 3-8 hours and im so fucking beat up from it that I cant really progress that much right now. My shoulder is fucked, my hips are fucked, I jammed my thum today and landed on my ribs the day before. Conditions are part of it too cause its hard to be motivated to be charging when its 0 degrees out and windy and dark and icey.

^seriously man... park beats the shit out of you... i need like a week off everytime i ski hard cause i crash so much and injure myself.

^ Come on you two, stop being vaginas. Haha, jk but still go skiing and like tear the groomers if you feel beatup.

fastest way;have lots of money

go to camp every summer go to a private academy

travelaround the country competing

learning tricks to perfection

just push yourself and don't be scared to try stuff unless you really feel like you can't do it. once you learn a trick learn it the other way (that's somthing I wish I'd done earlier) on jumps and rails. Do lots of switch skiing to it's important
