780 feet.

that hip that candide went over all those years ago at superpark or parkasaurus or whatever it was, when he was like 35-40 feet off the deck was and still is absolutely the most radical shit that i have ever seen.

any chance its still around somewhere? id love to see that again.

Holy fuck! If that would have been a cork 3 I would have shit my pants. But that is not the biggest jump ever built it is the farthest distance someone has gone off a jump

this other video of mike wilson is pretty big
=related

Also, anyone remember that jump in sessions 1242 that pep hit. it was placed randomly in the middle of an open tracked out slope and there was pretty much no landing, it was just the same slope with an angle all tracked out, anyways that was big too.

well think about it from takeoff to knuckle, those ski jump things have the knuckle pretty quickly but the landing is LOOOOOOOONG

yeah i have to say, although not the biggest jump straight up, i consider this the most impressive one. considering its in the freakin backcountry into pow. not like a super calculated park jumps. either way, all this shit is ridiculous.

True, this is big. But keep in mine this photo was taken with a fisheye lens. So It's not really as big as it looks in the picture.

It looks just as big if not bigger in video... i don't know if you have seen it or not. I'm assuming you haven't.

seriously dude, the fisheye makes it look smaller than it really is. trice jumps a fuckin valley in realtime in the vid. its retarded.
if you have seen it then sorry for talking to you that way,

Mammoth Super Park, the year candide aired that hip. We got a foot of fresh and they pushed a huge step down jump into the pow. Matt Collins did a 198 foot backy into toilet bowl above the top of chair 10. That is the BIGGEST JUMP EVER on dh boards. Ostness measured it afterwards at 198 feet. just 2 feet shy of 200. It's in the super park movie but no one ever picked up on how big it was. No one else, not even Madds, has done a trick that big.

Vid please. That sounds uber ill. If Candide's skis were six feet long with that sequence shot, you can measure Burtha at right around 150 feet to clear the knuckle. I would love to see a 200 foot back flip. If this is Leviathon in Tee Time, it looks pretty beefy too. There is a shot of a guy under rotating the biggest, slowest back flip I have ever seen. Anyway, it's so fun to watch this vid.

it bums me out to see posts requesting to see something that i posted in this same thread. use your eyes, its right up there, chumps.

I remember seeing that movie when I was like 10 years old and being blown away by how big those guys were hucking. I don't think that in any movies ever since there has been such a high ratio of jumps over 100 feet. They eat shit trying 150 foots double backflips shot after shot in the crash segment. Back then, pro skiers had balls of steel. I would love to find this movie so I can rewatch it.
