what is the biggest cliff you have dropped

only a couple clifs around me...all with flat landings...and the hill they are at is closed now...

...but i've dropped a 15 foot slag pile in Sudbury :-)

Crazed Posting Bro #21882736545

hey man, you guys are all a bunch of posers, there was like this sick 195 footer, i din't just launch it, cuz launchin straight air is for posers...I spun screamin seamen lincoln loop 540 with a mute grab off it, it was rad!

whatever, I just wrote this cuz I think people get too wrapped in how big you can go, and skiing is losing its soul. the soul of skiing is going out to your local hill with your bros and just being stylie and having fun, and trying some new stuff. I would way rather see a clean, stylie 360 mute than a big huge sloppy 1080. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing but respect for guys who huck their meat, and pull off the sick shit...but too many kids today think they have to go huge to have any fun. as a ski patroller, i've seen many of my buds out for the season cuz they tried some crazy tweaked out trick they saw in a movie when their skill level wasn't there yet. So be stylie, have fun, and don't forget about skiing's soul!

Yeah, Jamie Pierre was breaking my record. No big deal. I actually met him once and he so obviously smokes massive amounts of ganja every day.

25... stomped too. but thats an actual 25 footer, most people in this thread will completely bullshit

I took one about 25ft at Snowbird 3 years ago.. Then I assumed not landing backseat was a good idea. Double ejected and flipped a few times.

My biggest successful jump, was 25-30 feet, off of the Steep Line cornice at Squaw, in the Mainline Pocket area. It is off a cornice, not a cliff, so I don't know if that counts. It is about 50 degrees on the face right under the cornice, so if you back-up, and skate off of it, you will get a ton of air. My buddy was spotting it for me, standing on the edge while I backed up to skate. He told me not to get quite that far back. He was like 'you are going to get a ton of air if you skate from that far back,' so I moved up. With two skates I still got a ton of air, I'm glad I did not start from farther back.

I tried to hit Smooth Air, on Granite Peak, which Squalleywood calls a 40 footer. I did not stick it, hit a rock in the landing and ragdolled a ton. In the cartwheels I blew my ACL.

Around 20 maybe 25. Cliffs are seriously the scariest shit you can do on skis I encourage anyone who hasn't hit a 20+ footer to sack up and huck it. Really gets your adrenaline going

haha these days someone would say

"I'd rather see a clean stylie 1080 mute than a big huge sloppy triple cork"

im just being honest, and i dont think most of the people who say they have hit 30ft cliffs are lying. thats the same as jumping of the roof of a 3 story building. thats fucking huge. that will take you over 2 seconds to hit the ground, and youre going to be going a lot faster when you land than you would ever want to be going through trees. i could see it if someone was being ballsy in deep powder above timberline, but im assuming most people havent had that opportunity.

It was about 40 real feet... almost shat myself in the air. twice

from a takeoff at my head to the traverse track a few feet beneath the little tree at the bottom

Why would anyone take off from something they know they wont stomp or land properly (well of course you have to push your limits but I wouldn't go off a cliff without knowing that I can and probably will stomp it)? IMHO, if I would hit a cliff and don't land on my skis and ride away, I wouldn't say I dropped it. Sure, I did try, but I failed. Same thing as in the park, I don't say that I can do a certain trick if I can get the rotation in but can't land it.

This thread has too few pictures/videos. Not a big one, but at least it's something. Takeoff at the top of the snow.covered cliff.
