WHAT IS THE BEST SKI RESORT IN THE USA

Once spt starts building squaw valleys park there will be no reason to ride anywhere else in the US.

Long season, huge snowfall numbers, Northstar caliber park, Jackson caliber steeps, 4000 acres, California. Good night life but not blown up. Can you ask for anything else?

how about a non tourist trap that is infested by gapers, and rich families? how bout less crowds so the snow doesnt get tracked out in 30 mins or less? how about an entire upper mountain that doesnt close down at the slightest hint of wind?

how about some decent sidecountry access? how about they will still have the second best jumps in the basin, let alnone north shore, let alone 1 mile radius?

And those are all the negatives i can think up right now...

This thread may be better named as:

THE MOST UNDERRATED SKI RESORT

and my vote would go for Schweitzer Resort near Sandpoint, ID!

ya i would go overrated on that front. Shitty snow, shittier light, meh terrain, meh parks. I thinks its rated right where it should be.

under rated would be Alpine meadows. its overshadowed by squaw, heavenly, northstar, but it has everything you could want in a mountain.

Well it's pretty obvious you won't say anything good about a resort outside of Cali, so I rest my case.

really? cause i believe i just talked shit about squaw...which is in california...

schwietzer has REALLY short steeps, not much snowfall, meh parks, consistently has terrible light. it does have good tree skiing but thats about it. it is not underrated for sure.

such sick terrain and the nightlife is off the hook

U crazy? Whistler is horrible, it barely snows, it is flat as hell, it has the worst park in Canada and there is nowhere to go touring or sledding within 100km. You should check out Sun Peaks instead, much better option.
