What is spyware?

i aint too sure myself but i typed 'what is spyware' onto google.com and it said

Spyware is Internet jargon for Advertising Supported software (Adware). It is a way for shareware authors to make money from a product, other than by selling it to the users. There are several large media companies that offer them to place banner ads in their products in exchange for a portion of the revenue from banner sales. This way, you don't have to pay for the software and the developers are still getting paid. If you find the banners annoying, there is usually an option to remove them, by paying the regular licensing fee.

Kinda makes it a bit clearer but it might not help in any way... it could even be something completely different to the spyware you are meaning

 
i got kazaa lite it's the exact same thing with no spyware or shit.

Basically, spyware is software that runs in the background of your computer and gathers information from you.

Takes statistics, records what websites you visit (one common use is to advertise to you based on your interests).

Kazaa is horrible on spyware it loads you up with numerous processes recording your move and advertising you to death. All these processes can significantly slow down some machines.

simple solution. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU INSTALL ON YOUR COMPUTER. there is a piece of software called adaware do a search on google for it and download it. then update it and run it it will find and remove every piece of spyware on your computer this may cause some prgrams not to work, and as for kazaa lite, it is free of any harmful spyware if there is any in it none of the spyware detectors find a trace of it. spyware can also seriously fuck up your internet connection by routing you through other sites dns servers.

no its acutally loaded onto the computer, so it pretty much sees what websites you go to then it adds pop ups to those.

spyware is loaded on startup and continues to run all the time. in a similar way to a virus you cant just turn it off it must be removed.

yah its not kazaa itself, so it wont matter what version of kazaa you use, its the files you get off kazaa that are full of malware. check your task manager and you might see a whole whack of programs running in the background with funny names like 'wackslkk' or something like that.

actually kazaa itself does contain spyware, k-lite does not, and the files you get can also contain malware.

Kazaa is shit but Kazaa Lite is better. Still WinMX is the best.
