post the video that you feel embodies what skateboarding is, lifestyle and all.

it should be interesting to see the different videos posted. for some people the perfect vid would be cruisin the city, for others its a bowl and slayer.

Skateboarding is

The entire 1st and Hope video, a day just skating through LA.
Fucking John Cardiel is skateboarding watch Epicly Later'd and you will see

Skateboarding is the love of my life. I have been skating for ten years and it never gets old stomping tricks is the best feeling ever, cruising around weaving through the street is just awesome. Blasting a fat frontside ollie in a bowl, schralping a frontside five-o around a corner, sending over a stair, fucking taking it down a rail it's all fucking dope.
Skate or dieeeee

He was riding switch.
I remember the first time I saw so many videos and just had my mind fucked the DC video stands out in my mind. Fucking AVE's nollie back crook on the USC curved ledge, all of Josh Kalis' part when gangstar comes on it's just like holy balls, and Stevie's part when he blasts his pop shove rewinds like crazy high, that just made my mind explode.
All of these videos are great but I will say the absolute best era for skateboarding was the early nineties with the Gonz, Cardiel, Stranger, koston, carrol, all the SF guys, and like Chris Pastras and Harold Hunter on the east coast. That was what fucking skateboarding was about.
Not some fucking over hyped shit on prime time television, or dudes sponsored by target, real fucking street skating. And the videos weren't huge productions they were raw fucking skating, people just out having fun and happen to be filming their tricks. Keep it real gentlemen.

Anything Cody Mcentire for me. He fucking slays. Everything.

Or Jaws. He is fucking godly also. And is like the happiest dude ever.

Skateboarding is anything you want it to be, that's the best part about it. There are no rules, no concrete way to do everything. Nobody can tell you that you're doing it wrong as long as you're having fun and doing with skateboarding what you want to do with it. I think the only way to summarize skateboarding in one video would to be to mash together every video of skateboarding.

inb4 calling me a pussy; skateboarding is near and dear to me. shit's my shit.

But if I had to pick a video, it would probably be Cheese & Crackers, because it shows the utter creativity of a few dudes left to their own devices in a warehouse. Or any of Joey Brezinski's video parts because of his creativity with the manuals and tech stuff, but his ability to also slay it anywhere else.

this could be way off in your guys eyes since i don't actually skate myself (although i do like it a lot) but to me this just makes me want to get off my ass and go skate. i love how chilled it is and fair enough it's got fancy timelapses and shit but the skating is pretty sick (in my opinion, i know very little about skating). you've possibly seen it since it's pretty recent, but i would like your guys take on it since you know a lot more about it than me

I'd have to go with this..

Orgin is probably the best skate movie to date in my opinion. Austin kills it.

And without going crazy on the embeds, business as usual from think is also excellent. The opening montage is great.

i heard you have to be vertically positioned on a 'skateboard' for it to work. but i guess if you did a handstand or some shit that would always be skateboarding.
