What is my ski size?

Ok so right now I am like 5'7/5'8, and I found a really good deal on skis, BUT, I would be using them next year and not this year.

SO, what ski size would be good for me NEXT YEAR, because I have to use the skis I have now for the rest of the year.

So a 170 or a 176?
 
How big are ya! Like weight??

Height isn't a great indicator man.

If you're a toothpick the longer boards will be a lot of work for you to bend, If you have a little heft to you go big or go slow!!

Remember longer for stability.... Shorter for Maneuverability!
 
I'll be skiing like 40 percent park and 60 percent not park.

I can do rails pretty well but I suck at spinning, if that matters at all.
 
how bout you guys like list reasons why you think ceratin sizes..

depending on where you ski, like if your "out of park" skiing is in powder or lighter stuff, than the 176s..

if you out of park skiing is tree skiing in the slick east, or most east skiing, i'd say 170's... i ride 171s and am mostly out of park and they are a great size..
 
I've tuned and sold ski's for well over a decade now.. dude for all the fun you'll have at 135lbs, go for the 170's. they'll more than do for you and are long enough for the park the groomers and a little pow (20cm to a foot). If you're going to hit some real steep and deep, (more than a foot of fluff) then you might want to go bigger..
 
sounds like you should save your money and put a little extra into a more all mountain ski cause you said you ski more out of the park than in the park and that's not what the thalls were made for
 
good call.. yeah there are plenty more skis that still have twins and park suitable that arent so park specific as the thallss
 
i weigh 165-170 and i ride 175/176. i love them, i dont care what everyone else says about needing longer skis, i definitely don't
 
if u say ur 40/60 park to mountain u probly shouldnt go with the thalls, id get this years ar5s or even last years
 
im 5'10" and used to ski 161s, moved to 171. and there perfect..

i am a very good moutain skier, and do a lot of tree runs and tight stuff so the 171s are perfect.. it depends what terrain you ski,
 
176-- better all mountain man--- you won't even notice the difference in the park-- it'll prolly be better actually

i got the same problem im lookin to get new skis next year by then ill probly be like 5'4, but im realy light so i might be like 100 by then, anyone got any suggestions for me?
 
aight thanks bro. im ridden on 157's right now its so brutal. i didnt know much about ski length and shit when i bought em and the bitches at my local shop practically forced me to buy em.
 
6'1", 160lbs and i ride 182's out of park (scratch BC's) and 177's center mounted in the park (STL's) and love both sizes for each aspect
