What is medically wrong with Fred Phelps (WBC)

At first, I would see his website given, and I didnt really think it was even real, just someone making fun of baptists. But I researched it, and researching WBC makes you so EFFING SAD! The guy beat his kids with a barbers strap plus other items, is a rage alholic.

1) WBC IS NOT A CHURCH. The only thing about the bible they are interested in is homosexuality.

What happened to Fred Phelps that made him rage so hard against homo's?
