What is harder skiing or snowboarding?

all my friends which are snowboarders always say "yah but skiings harder" wen it comes to trying to teach someone who has not decided on wat to do... i take it as a compliment... =) and one time me and my frined switched once to see wat it was like, i was fine... didn't even fall, on the other hand he bombed it... so i would definatly say skiing is harder... yah for skiers... take a challenging sport and not the easy way out... WOOOOOOOOOOT!!!
 
most people say snowboarding is easier because they have skiied, there for they have a much better feeling for the snow. i remember when i first got on skies ( i was about 6) i was scared shit from the smallest bumps. then i learned to flow with them and its pretty much the same as in snowboarding. if you can feel the slope and sense whats around you there both easy.
 
exactly, skiing is easier to learn but harder to master and snowboarding is harder to learn but easier to master
 
i have done both and skiing was much harder than boarding b/c on a board it is really easy to turn and the postion of your weight doesn't matter as much, with skis there is more to concentrate on like postion of weight and where both skis are. Snowbaording is also easier to learn
 
snowboarding is harder to get used to wen its your first time, then wen you get the hang of it and try the park stuff, its easy, wen you ski, its easy to learn to ride, but wen you go to park for the first time, its relly hard to get used to it, skiing looks so much for steezy than snowboarding, freestyle i mean, not racing
 
i do both and i feal that skiing is easier to spin and save a sketchy landing. snowboarding is easier for rails but falls are way worse on a snowboard
 
I think that its different with every person, some people can pick something up and be great when others can't.
 
snowboarding was alot easier for me. i think that some people here though say that skiing is harder just because they want look badass.
 
skiing is easier to learn the basics, but it takes a lot more time to actually show some style..... in snowboarding, a lot more people actually get style like in a week

first time out I hit a box.By the end of the day I could slided it. It is so easy I could see why it progressed so fast.
 
nah sking is wayyyy easier to learn and way easier to hit jumps. skiing looks wayyyy harder on rails though.
 
neither is easier, if something is easier on one of them, then you just go bigger or whatever making it the same.

I have both Skiied and snowboarded for several years. The thing is that skiing is easier in all ways. i jibbed for two years and stomped corked 7 and 9´s, rails spins on and off. i jibbed with my snowboard and tried the same thing, but the hard thing is landing. on skiis you can land pretty much how you like but in snowboard you have to be really centerred and just stomp it smooth.

My opinion is that skiing is easier, snowboard are harder. BUT SKIING IS THE MOST COOL FUCKING THING TO WATCH!!!! :)
 
snowboarding is cake its too easy to pick up and the tricks r even easyer rails =easy .jumps=easy

skis r easy to pick up on but hard to do tricks with
