What is Angus? (The Saga mascot/logo)

So what do you guys think "Angus", the saga mascot/logo thing is? To me it kinda looks like a smiling muffin with little beady eyes. I've looked at it lots and I seriously have no idea what it is? There must be some people who are curious, or who have some other strange ideas too.
