What I have learned about Full Tilts

Full Tilts suck. I have had them for 2 years 2 pairs, and they are the biggest ripoff. TO me the it is Fulltilts=Shinbang. Not only do they ruin my ski trips of not being able to ski because of shin bang but they break so easily and to fix a god damn buckle i had to pay $70 because of the way it broke. The don't support your shin at all your shin just smashes into it. the plastic sucks as well and the toe piece plastic gets worn out quick. MY OPINION, F**K FULLTILT

clearly you're 12 and buy boots based on what everyones raving about. how about you get a boot that fits your scrawny ass pre-pubescent legs so you don't need to come to newschoolers to bitch about it. god damn kids are fucking stupid these days, all i see is "SPK or fulltilt?????!??!?/" there are different brands for a reason you dumb piece of shit.

What I learned about Full Tilts: BRILLIANT marketing strategy that fooled you into buying not only one, but TWO pairs of boots that didn't fit you.

Epic win on their part.

Sorry I'm talking about gear on gear talk faggot. yea and about fulltlts, thats what i did when i was 15. Fuck you honestly this is for people who are thinking about full tilt to think twice. When i got full tilts, i was first getting into freestyle skiing and figured full tilts are the best because everyone has them. Clearly as I got more into freestyle skiing i learned whats good for me and whats not. I now have Nordica's witch are so much better than overpriced Full tilts. Suck my fucking cock prick i bet you suck at skiing faggot get off newschoolers

agreed lol. But at least i was able to sell both of them for double what i bought them because of how crazy every1 on newschoolers is over them. Stoked on that

Are you suggesting that everyone who posts something positive about Fulltilts is lying just to fuck with you? If I bought FT's I would hate them as my foot gets stuck before it reaches the footbed, which is why I didn't buy them... Because they don't fit...

As for shinbang the only way to avoid it is to land properly (not backseat), which is almost impossible to do especially when trying new stuff. Calm down... or take up golf

so you learned that there are boot fitters at ski shops for a reason? dumb ass gear whores like you are the problem to the stupid threads on NS. gear whoring is now arials

And you know saying that will get you banned right? You are a fucking retard who spends to much of mommy and daddy's money on shit they don't deserve in the first place.

honestly..... i love my full tilts. i got them at the start of this season, with custom footbeds(went to a bootfitter, fit the best and were the cheapest), and they are the 2nd most comfortable boots that i have owned (only others were a pair of Solomon preforma 6's that felt like slippers) i mainly use them for all mountain (moguls, upper bowls) and i love them... i kinda suck at park (boxes and straight airs in medium jumps) but i've never had any problems with them

spark notes:i got a good deal on FT's

i think they're super comortable

they work for me

i'm kinda new here, but in gear talk all i ever see is gear hype and hate.

it seems to me the advise given on NS is pretty clear: go to a bootfitter and get the boot that BEST fits your feet. you clearly bought your boots online due to the "recommendations" of other kids hyping the product you ended up with.

your problem here is not with Fulltilt or even K2, but really your problem is actually with yourself for believing the hype and not actually following the TRIED AND TESTED advice on this site. sir, you are the problem with NS.

no shit you love them, you went to boot fitter.

OP i don't understand how you could be annoyed with the responses, you have been here for over 2 years, wtf did you think NS would say??

exactly... the thing with full tilts is they arent really adjustable.. either they for you or they dont. the cant is either canted, or not canted. most kids dont understand this and assume: Wallisch rides full tilt, if I get Full Tilts ill be able to banger tricks like Wallisch. If they fit you, and you work hard enough, yes, you will be able to. But you would be able to with any other boot that fit you well too. Anyone who buys a boot solely on advertising (no shin bang, etc...) quite frankly, shouldnt be buying boots.

i will admit, the buckles are kinda shitty, but i really dont care that much about that because the shells will last forever, and i'd rather replace a $50 buckle every year than buy $500 boots every year because some pro has different boots now

DONT BUY SHIT THAT DOESNT FIT YOU, AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR SHIT

yea seriously what the fuck? fuck paying for boots with plastic buckles, kids boots are the only other boots i've seen with plastic buckles. i dont get the weight arguement, surely if your legs are strong enough to let u ski you wont notice the weight of 6 tiny bits of metal

i dont know..... just the way its always been done i guess

one of my friend's buckles broke and i went in to Christy Sports ( in Dillon, CO) talked to the shop manager and he gave us a whole new set for free, and even put the new one on for him

i like that, full tilt should provide parts to all retailers so they can hook up kids who break their boots for free, now that the idea is in my head i think its a bit ridiculous that they don't already do that

i agree.... but, he said if it happens again its like $3 if its just the buckle, and you can do pretty much everything with a phillips head screwdriver

this this this......... but, no one ever seems to do it

most shops have a 'bootfitter' and thats better than nothing...

my fulltilts are so damn comffy, because they are the only boot that fits my feet well that i have disscovered. i had spks before and hated them but the new ones came out (all black pros) and i wnted so bad. but i improvised and dyed my hotdogggers all black. they boots were 200 and lightly used for like a month

A bad fit is your fault. The boot is what it is, you are the one with decision making power. Getting mad at inanimate objects is going to get you nowhere. Also, I would be suprised if any boot buckle of any maker is less than 70 bucks to replace, doesn't seem that ridiculous. I mean I'm just saying that most of your complaint falls in the realm of "full tilt was bad for ME" not "full tilt was bad"

not the boots fault your fault for not getting boots that fit your or landing backseat the whole time, i went to a fitter, he said full tilts would suit my foot shape and they do, comfy as and barely ever get shinbang unless trying new stuff and land stupidly backseat

On one buckle* and I can't really add anything to this thread that hasn't been said. I have no problems with my First Chairs, and have only ever had to change one buckle, which costed $20 (First Chairs are metal too). I found the metal itself doesn't shear, but more so the spring mechanism. Which will still function after it's a little messed. And I'd like to see OP come back to this thread after his timeout, nap, and warm milk.

my booters fit great, better than any boot i have had in the past. and once i upgrade them a bit (pro liners, custom footbeds, booster straps and stiffer tongues), they will be money

yea its mainly the liner, they don't cup your shins as good as nordicas for example and i just get mad shin bang... i went to full tilt from rental boots and they seemed like they were amazing when i tried them on because of how comfortable and light they were but now that i actually free ski i realized they are so not for me

You know that a full tilt boot is suitable for practically all types of skiing? It's the same way as how there is no "park" boot. Your freeskiing excuse doesn't work

No shit. What boot did you go with? I have the First Chairs, and they're the stiffest ones at a #10 flex

i went to full tilts booted 09 with a flex #2 tongue. Brand new $50 bucks at a ski swap only good thing from skiing in NJ

Well there's your problem, you went from a racing boot to a flaccid penis. How else did you think the boots would perform?

your an idiot if fulltilts give you shingbangand no ankle support. you must've bought them 2 sizes to big and did them up as loose as possible.
