What Hood based camp for an old man?

I have been going to High North and then Momentum for the last 8 or 9 years. I will go again this year but it looks like I will have a lot of time off this summer as I change jobs. I was thinking of hitting Hood after the Whistler glacier closes but I don't know anything about the camps there. As an old man the things I value include lifts over hiking, other adults (particularly ladies) would be nice and, most importantly, access to some kind of bar... Any help would be appreciated.

Rough crowd, then again it's just a lonely ginger that spends 90% of his time getting a boner for hateful 12 year olds on NS.

I'd say stay away from windells, though I haven't been there it surely doesn't seem like the place for you.

I tried google but I didn't get much over and above the various web pages of the different camps. I was kind of looking for honest feedback from people who had been there.

Retirement home in Govy, eh? That sounds like fun, I could hit on the nurses while getting my post ski sponge bath...

That sounds nice.

Maybe try calling Tim Windell personally. Maybe you'll catch him in-between swigs off the ol bottle long enough for him to answer your questions...

but really, there's a good adult camp there although I'm not too sure about the old-as-fuck adult camp.

thats not true at all, windells has an adult program, basically you go out every night and have your own van to get to hood.

Rips on NS veteran.

Then shares his opinion about something that he clearly (and admittedly) knows nothing about.

Classic.

go to windells adult camp or just go ride public park at timberline..

Lol, why should anyone give a fuck?

He's spent more time staring blankly at a screen being a dick to anyone who is new than most people, so therefore he transcends the status of everyone else?

He's just an annoying ginger who has nothing better to do than be a cunt on the internet because he feels entitled. Simple as that.

Are you kidding me? Veteran? I don't care how long he's been here or how many dicks he's sucked to become the man he is today, someone was trying to ask an honest question and he responded in classic skiierman fashion.

As for my opinion, thats exactly what it was, and I recall this being a forum...where people voice ...dare I say it???OPINIONS? At least I was trying to offer mine. It's not like this man is going to base his decision off what some said who admitted never actually going there.

Minus 5 fucking points from Gryffindor bro

Before this degenerates into a flame war, I would just clarify that while I am "fucking old" by NS standards I am still able to get through a park in one piece. Hell, Skierman's profile suggests he may be a bit over the hill himself, having joined NS 2 years before I did, which was 8 or 9 years ago ; ) .

Anyway, I am just looking for a good vibe, a few adults to hang out with (I have spent a whole summer at Momentum and have been the only adult at times but I have a lot of friends in Whistler and have gotten to know a few of the more old school coaches) and, most importantly, access to a bar. These things don't seem to be clear on the web pages of the camps so thanks for the help so far.

secret week at mount hood.the exclusive shoots are over, the campers go home, the public park takes over the camps.... pretty much a free for all, ride with real core skiers that are still getting some, and chillin hard, the way its supposed to be.

Hey are you that creepy middle-aged fucker that was chilling with a dozen 14 year old girls at like 10 o'clock in their hotel room a couple years ago? I heard about you...

that was me...^lol, and they all said they were 18...

seriously, secret week, beginning of september end of july is true tshirt weather, no more rain. you can tent out on the glacier... or on the access road for free with no gypsys... shred the race lanes, mogul lanes, even high cascade.

if you are older than me, pm me for free lift tickets, all day everyday!

You and Schmuck would get along well....

And hey, you said you were old so I had to point it out as a public service. I don't like doing it but it has to be done. Imagine what would happen to this site if that kind of thing went without attention?

I also heard you jerked it in the hotel hallway when a girl who was either a coach or a friend of the coaches wouldn't invite you into her room after you walked her to her room from the bar.

For the record, that was not me, though i think I know who you mean. He was my roommate and I think this was 3 years back during week 3, or whatever week they do splashdown in. He also took them wakeboarding, and yes, it was a bit creepy.

All I did that year is convince the kids in my neighbouring room to draw out some lines made of flour on a mirror, strew some bags full of oregeno around the room and look completely spaced for room inspection. The chick who did the inspection almost died of shock (they were young kids, like 13 or 14), they played their part so well. John Smart was called in, dying of both worry and fury. He was so relieved when Dumont, who was my partner in the prank, jumped out of the closet revealing the joke.

I went to windells session one and had the same concerns as you do (I'm 23 idk how old u are). Adult camp is AWESOME. We had our own seperate place across the street from campus and there were 9 adult campers including myself between the ages of 18 and 29. We had our own "host" to take us around after skiing each day and were able to party as much as we wanted as long as it wasnt in front of the kids. they took us down to portland on the weekend where we went for sushi, bars, clubs etc and theres a few bars closer to campus on the other nights. Oh and the skiing is awesome and you can do your own thing on the hill if you want to because ur an adult
