What helmet style do you prefer?

I know alot of us are wearing helmets these days, myself personally coming from a skating background grew up with the mindset that helmets are for squares. But after a few domers on hill started riding with one. I'm rocking a sandbox with the front brim personally hate it. What do you guys rock or think looks the best? I know someone's gonna say who cares but come on no one wants to wear a bulky ugly one on their cranium. Also if youve got any good stories lets here them. Mine would either be going to nollie and scorpioning so hard that I chipped my helmet with my tails or mobbing through the trees and getting basically clothes lined

I'll take that bate and be that guy. I wear a lid that fits. I'm really over the whole "style and trying" aspect of this sport. I have clothes that keep me warm on the cold days, Dry on the wet days and am fine with that. besides a helmet is a safety tool not an accessory. I know I'm captain buzz kill, I'm cool with that.

Not at all brotha, lets fix it a little bit, what do you like in your helmet? Mine has 0 vents so my goggs always fog but its lightweight so I don't notice it as much I have a smith maze that ill probably be rocking this winter I like the idea of 9 vents. In utility sense what makes a quality helmet to you?

The priority is that it fits and will protect my head

The features which are nice to have imo are low profile, fit under my hood and can fit goggles underneath. I've also got a sandbox (can't remember the name but no brim)

I know what one you mean, how does it fit with goggs does it still have enough overlap to cover the top vents?

for the utmost protection

I have the same helmet as you, but the newer one with vents and you can use it in the summer too.. It's a great helmet!

Its really good. The curvature of the helmet follows my head over the top but widens out just enough at the back to allow your goggles to go underneath without cutting into your head or giving the helmet a weird look. I don't really get what you mean about overlapping the top vents, there's nothing covering them if that's what you mean

I used to have a Smith helmet with a brim, I thought it looked baller but it was too big and rattled around so I just skied without a helmet. My head runs really hot so I was more comfy in a trucker hat anyway. This spring I got a climbing helmet (Mammut El Cap) and honestly, although it looks a little gaper I really like it, light weight, tons of vents, white, so I could draw on it.

The only downside it it's a climbing helmet so it doesn't really have any side protection.

Yah that's what I meant thanks! Are the mazes unisex because I got one fee and its got a purple logo lol kinda fruity looking may sticker over it.

i have a pro-tec B2, it's super old and the one i'm using right now is bought used cause i can't find 'em new anywhere. main reason why i use only that is that it just fits so perfectly to my head and i can wear it with or without goggs.

As far as I can tell it is unisex. The Smith website lists all of the color options from roses to camo as both men's and women's.

Thanks dude, its just got an off grey color seems odd to me. But does anyone know if I use plastic safe krylon to paint it white or black if it will compromise the integrity of the plastic? I know that if it gets sprayed on the foam it'll deteriorate just curious.

i like the new Pret helmets. Tons of venting and super light. You can take out the insides and put it over the beanie/goggle setup, or use it traditionally with the insides and goggle over the helmet, the way it was designed. i also like the sorta rubberized outer finish.

but at the end of the day, it's just a helmet. all helmets look stupid. get one that fits, has good ventilation, and is light, and you hopefully, you won't turn into a vegetable after multiple head impacts.
