Its actually not. In a two party system, you're basically left with the choice "who will fuck this nation up the least?"

As to why I think we need a democrat in the white house, might I refer you to the seven terrible years of a republican controlled house, senate and executive branch?
 
i think it's funny that you ask people to make a case for Obama before making a case for McCain. in fact i think it's pretty freakin' hilarious. I am currently laughing my ass off.
 
Obama needs to be president... but not meow, we're in debt and the economy is not where it should be, we need a prez the will focus on the finances of our country instead of dumping billions into "change" or a war. you dont fix up the aesthetics of a car when the engine is hardly running.

The senate and house were taken in 2006. And really, the legislation democrats have actually gotten out of there into effect has been relatively nil cause our executive branch veto's everything.

Would replacing "republican" with "neo-con" or one who falls in line with neo-cons be more acceptable, because that's more what it is. Though it seems like the whole party has been taken over by it, so maybe republican does work.
 
i would definitly vote for obama if i was was 18 and american. and i heard his tax plan is shit but thats just to try and make up for all the other presidents mistakes. i could be wrong but i dont really pay much attention to american politics. i actually know more about american politics than canadian

if someone wants to make a pro mccain thread, ill do my best to bring up good things about him.... but there are no "look obama has done this, this and this" posts... all i see is "dont vote for the old man" posts

when he said 57 states he was refering to guam, puerto rico and the other US territories. I'd be interested in a cited source on the muslim faith quote, although, i really don't care, it's apparent he is not a muslim.

there's plenty of reasons to vote for obama. go to his website, you fucking idiot. he has outlined his policies and stands on issues very clearly, and I support them.
