What has happened in ski culture?

So I have been completely out of the loop of ski progression for the past two years and after watching a couple teasers, I realized theres a lot I've been missing. Its been even longer than that since I've been on newschoolers. The last "new" movie I saw was Push/Pull. sad huh? The reason I'm posting this is to see who can some up the main points for me, given that I'm putting a couple of my own songs into a ski movie premiering next year and I should probably know who the fuck Tom Wallisce is...

dude what ever who cares if you don't know certain pros... fuck I didn't know what a pretzel was until about a month ago... as long as you still ski and have fun doing it what is the problem

I understand, and I completely agree about skiing for fun and not giving a fuck about what the pros stats are and such.... except it kinda matters this time seeing that theres going to be a juxtaposition of my art and the ski culture. I love skiing and I love music, so i just want to know a little bit about skiing lately.

Youtube Tom Wallisch, alex martini, jon brogan, and tj schiller.

read about k2 hellbents and ep pros, and why they are so awesome

Was that the cork 3 I've been hearing so much about in Tom Wallisch KOS edit, it at :36 sec. That thing was fucking massively dope, he got so much drift on that.

It would be even cooler if you didn't attempt to incorporate newschoolers culture into your movies and instead made them from your unique standpoint in the skiing world.

Agreed!

It would be real interesting to see how skiing would be portrayed by someone on the outside that was unaware of the whole "thug movement".

double's and landing switch with legit tricks in powder. that's two years in a nutshell.

as far as music, why does that matter? listen to what you listen to, not what 'they' are listening to.

look up:

Jon Olsson Super Session edits (colby, jon henrik, simon, sammy...)

henrik harlaut

russ henshaw

tom wallisch

andy parry

will wesson

ahmet dadali

jossi wells

44 days

hot lunch

and if you have $30 buy turbo

damn that cork 3 was so NASTY... mad props.
so fucking over that kind of music in ski edits. 3rd one wasnt bad. but give the wanksta rap a rest

god... i remember getting that as my first ski movie ever and watching it every day, then one year later skiing has done a complete turnaround of what it was before with the skiing abilities of wallisch and brogan. It is really kind of sad because I remember thinking that movie was all that skiing was and had no idea what a pretzel was.

in the last two years:pretzels, double flips in the pipe, doubles in the park, recently doubles in the bc, switch landings in pow, bigger spins in bc, tech rail skills, rockered and reverse camber skis, smoother bigger spins

i didn't mean it like i thought it was the greatest movie ever or anything i just meant it like he wasn't the only person who watches Push/Pull haha but i've definatly seen better movies and such
