"What Harder Skateboarding or BMXing?"

I think skateboarding is harder then bmxing, but people have different opinion, so tell me yours. I know this is a waste of time, so write what you want.

i'd have to say bmx'ing is hard based on the fact that you must perform tricks with a 40-60lbs (guess?) bike underneath you, thus making the potential for injury much higher

BMXing is harder to progress at but easy to start, skateing is harder to start but once you get it dialed it gets slightly easier. B,Xing has more gnarly crashes though.

skateboarding is probably the hardest thing ever to get reeeeeally good at.

bmx i wouldnt wanna get really good at. id just want to get good at riding trails. that shit looks like so much fun.

i quit bikes way back though. my pedals and my legs had an abusive relationship for too long.

both are just as hard as you make them, I've done both and I have more fun on bikes in general. both sports have equally talented and diverse athletes, it's impossible to judge which is better, or harder, or requires more skill, because they require diferrent skills.

heres how to be good at both of them

I'd have to say BMXing, because its basically bones over metal. And when you need to bail you have to worry about wrecking yourself on some aluminum.

word. skateboarding is just so much more technical than any other sport. on a bike, once you are comfortable riding ramps and shit, everything will come pretty easy.

That's a load of BS. Go watch some flatland and then tell me those guys arent technical. It takes way more than just being comfortable on your bike...

Anyway, Ontarioskiing... said everything that needed to be said about the subject.

I don't know as I never got really good at either. I just like biking better. there are just easy and hard aspects of both, as said before.. as with all sports.

I can kickflip, but I can't barspin or tailwhip. And I rode bmx a lot longer than I skateboarded.

It just depends on the person, and it's a dumb thing to argue about.

Well it takes a lot of coordination for both, but I can't BMX for shit. But I'd say skating is probably harder.

^ Rodney Mullen is pretty much like 10 years ahead of the skateboarding game. Some of the stuff he does seems so hard to ever duplicate.

IMO as a BMXer from back in the day skateboarding seems way harder. It's just more technical.

I feel it takes more balls to bunnyhop and throw a barspin then it does doing a kickflip. If you can even compare the 2.

so much disagreement aboutthe weigh of bmx bikes. i reckon most weigh around 27 pounds these days but like 6 years ago it was tough to even get your bike below 30 pounds.

bmx by alot, its not that hard to ollie up a 1 foot ledge on a skateboard, but to do it on abmx bike is extremely difficult, let alone doing advanced tricks on a bkie.

plus theres not rly a safe way to learn things like a barspin on a bike but nothing bad will happen if u f uck up kickflip

I realize that. I wasn't trying to brag, I know I suck at skateboarding. But a barspin is a basic trick too. I was making a point that they are completely different and different people might pick up on one easier.

Dont tell me its not hard to manual backwards on a bike and bunny hope 180 up a set of stars on a bike, its fucking difficult.

anyone who thinks bmx is harder needs to watch the made episode where the girl lands a backflip after a month of riding

Yeah, we have all the maerican channels and some british, they even got some shit channel thats called MTV Dubai, because MTV want more money.

lol, as if that discredits it at all. watch the girls who try to learn to skate, and apply the same "over 5 months or something"

mtv did that with skateboarding with a girl on made.

her biggest feat was that she managed to do a rock fakie verrrry frighteningly on a mini.

skateboarding is the hardest thing ever. if you dont think so then pick it up and see how good you are in two years. granted once you reach a certain point it also becomes the most fun thing ever. so youre stoked.
