What happened to Windells?

It seemed like all the hype was about COC and momentum this year. But in the past years, Windells got all the hype. NS updates made COC seem so much sicker then Windells, along with the videos. It always seemd like something sick was going down there. Must have just been NS week or something, but NS did a good job of selling COC to me this year.
 
I am just going to assume that CoC threw some cash their way, seeing as they had NS week there, so NS gave them a little extra hype to get kids stoked on it....Seems like simple advertising and marketing to me.
 
Of course not. There's definitely no employee of Windell's holding a gun to his head either.
 
Dude where do you get your crack?

SCI, sw triple, hot new rail manuevers...everything dope is happening at Windells this summer. All the camps look fun, but I'd have to say that the windells edits and updates have displayed the highest level of slayage from any of the summer institutions. Not that the COC and Momentum vids aren't sick...its just that the Windells ones are super bangerified.
 
my brother went to windells for snowboarding. his on snow experienced sucked. sounded like the park sucked, and his coach definitely sucked.
 
seriuously? i really enjoy all those windells edits, they get me so stoked to ski. Always such a good vibe. Always stoked when a new one drops. So therefore there was a lot of hype for me.

i was asking the same question vice versa: what happened to COC? didn't see that much from there
 
If anything I thought hood and windells looked like where everything was happening. The whistler camps seemed to have smaller(but possibly really fun) true table type jumps that shot people up but not far because it had been foggy, while windells had massive kicker for the sci. It looked like all the camps had fantastic summer though.

and i think that there might have been a lot more windells hype if SCI finals had actually happened. becuase everyone was super stoked about it before it happened

Windells is still by far the funnest place on earth. i think at least 7 campers have learned legit doubles this summer, many of them were 15 years old. the amount of skiing you can get with 2 rope tows on the park and recently a rope tow on the big jump is insane. look at the all 4 double 10s thread, wallisch did that at windells three days ago, in 4 hits in like 15 minutes because the tow rope is right on the jump. it has been going off rediculously hard up at Hood for august and i believe whistler camps are like done already.
 
never been to summer camp but the whistler camps seem like they would be more fun, you get way more freedom and get to drink and stuff (if ur stealthy)
 
please explain. i just got back. I learned a ton and had a sick coach and the park was way sick. I cant think of anything that was wrong with it...
 
COC had More snow, Double the park size, far less kids.

Windells had off hill airbag , and water ramp, and better skateboarding.

personally i prefer COC but if you guys like windells thats cool to.
 
never been to either but id probably choose windells. windells definitely sells it to you on the vibe which is clearly an effective marketing campaign. i think coc could advertise much better. they both seem dope though
 
he went to session 2, so the park was much differentalso, you are a skier. windells is way more popular with and also more geared for skiers. i believe it's a much different experience for a skier.
 
in my opinion it felt like all camps werent as popped out as they were last year like video wise i guess the ns updates were pretty big but seemed like more people were all over tanner hall and sam's triple. and the teasers, and underdog shredders
 
Woodward was not hyped at all it seemed, i had a friend that just went that said there was more kids this year though. i think i heard about things happening in and around windells more than any other camps this summer.
 
This. Edits in 2008 were the best. They showed very well how they coach the kids and make em stoked. Remeber one of those when tom wallisch were coaching kids how to rodeo, made me want to go so bad.

also the girls in the snack/ game lounge there were bitches u would ask for a pizza and they said no sometimes... so annoying
not saying that the staff was bad cuz most of the staff was really chill but sometimes the staff were dicks at windells
 
exactly what i was thinking, im constantly excited for the windells updates... i showed a freind of mine edit 3 and he wants to even tho he doesnt ski.
