What happened to Vincent Dorion?

I'm not sure if this is true but I heard that he isn't pro anymore and now does carpentry. He's probably one of my favourite skiers and kinda want to know if this is true.

All i know is that he spent alot of money to make a video part and it didnt get him any new sponsors so he didnt have enough money. There was a article in freeskier about it.

he could always have a fall back career as a lawn gnome. not really my type of lawn decor, but someone would prolly stick the little guy out there...

but really, he had some cool segs back in the day

yeah i read that article its pretty sad though that such an innovator cant make a living off of a sport he played such a big role in developing

I missed the article but couldn't agree more. Vinnie D was such a pioneer. Oh how I always wished I could do switch cork 7 mutes like him.

i heard hes working in the keebler elf tree
he may be a skiing pioneer, but those rainbow chip cookies are so damn delicious

he is getting older and it would be hard for him to keep up with the young guys but he is sick no doubt

i remember the H/H video called lifted that you got free with some magazine in like 2003 or 04 and i remember that segment was so sick. he really defined what it was to be steezy back in the day.

yeah that was a sick segment in "Happy/Happy" He was also in War and Ski Porn though, so not that long ago he had a full segment in a major ski movie two years running

He's still on 4frnt, as said above me, and he has a pro model out (VCT) which got rave reviews from freeskier.

I wasn't really into freeskiing too much when dorion was huge, but I think that the fact that such a legend has to resort to a secondary career speaks of the need for more money in freeskiing. Which is one thing the olympics would help with, and so will the dew tour this winter. I urge everyone here to push for 2014 olympic pipe skiing.

i thought that i read in an article some where that he didn't have any sponsores. so he just kind of quietly drifted out of the pro scene.
