Honestly i get the idea of leaving the open for ams but its not really necessary, in other sports opens are some of the biggest competiions of the year such as golf tennis billiards and scrable.
i dont blame him for not competing. Why bother. Pros that make any kind of money should NOT be allowed to compete. Leave it OPEN for the kids and up and comers.
why should they not be allowed to compete...? Thats the alure of The Open, anyone can enter and compete against the best in the world, to see infact if THEY are the best in the world.
I spoke to T's family during the week, he told me that he wasn't gonna bother with US open this year and given the disappointment that he received at last year's x games, he wasn't going to come across to Aspen.
WHAT NO X GAMES FOR TANNER.........NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Yea I love how you guys bold the word open to support the argument that certain athletes shouldnt compete...Please look the word up so you dont look ignorant...
Secondly like he said if you want to be the best u better be able to beat the best if the open is just a bunch of second grade athletes a win is meaningless thats what all the randomn comps and big airs at local hills are for...It is more impressive to see D Spong beat out top pros instead of Joe Shmoe(Who has been blowing up as of late... Its called validation look that up too!!
I know that since it is an "Open" competition T-Hall has just as much right to enter it as anyone else, but there are "closed" comps that only top pros can enter, and that's usually where they prove themselves.
I realize that but if I were on a lvel to compete at the open I would fuckin love to compete against tanner, tj, and all the others...its not like sponsors would b e like oo that kid lost to tanner hall he must suck...I gurantee these kids love the idea of pros entering becuase it validates what they have accomplished when they r goin toe to toe with them!!
thats really good, he just got a lot more respect in my book. He is a really good skier, but some times his attitude sucks. But good for him for leaving it open for new kids to get known.
