What happened to Siver?

Just wondering never heard they went down, I thought they were getting bigger and bigger, Ive seen there hoodies on people in europe, nz , Us, Canada and even in Beach towns in Australia. There stuff was sick what happened?
 
i think he meant it was bought by orage then went for sale again but nobody made a bid so it went out of biz. that sucks if its tru. remind anyone of what transworld did to freeze?
 
big news from them tomorrow guys....you will hear wat happined to them tomorrow. they are putting out a press releasse. i would tell but u then can tell u them selfs....
 
They did not go out of biz, they are still owned by Orage and the new stuff is sick. They have'nt updated their website from last year, but i have a 06-07 catalogue.
 
orage and them are owned by the same company, not enough people were buying siver and alot were buying orage so they decided to put more money into orage and just get rid of siver.
 
apparently orage put them up for sale no one bought siver so it went "out of buisness" but now i heard theres gonna be a press release soon that someonelse bought them... or so ive heard. wish i could hear something more than rumors on this one. sivers pretty dope so im hopin they dont go under.

the word has been that this is the last year for siver, but im not going to be too presumptuous. but siver has appeared almost anywhere with any association with freeskiing, so that would be fucked
 
Siver Cartel didn't go out of business they have jackets and pants from their '07 line in the Freeskier Buyer's Guide.

Um, no. Unless somoene buys Siver, no 08 line. Only some Siver stuff is actually avaiable. Alot of it never got made fully. So just because you saw a jacket on jibj doesnt mean siver didnt go under. Unless they have a buyer soon, what you see out there is what is left of them for a long time.
 
dipshit...I did read the other posts and in those posts people said there was supposed to be some sort of press release.

After christmas i am probably ordering a Siver jacket.
 
Siver was started by mike nick as just a basic streetwear company, when they expanded to outerwear the business got too big for just mr nick, so he sold the actual company to Coalision (who owns Orage, Loelle and somebody else) and he became the brand manager. In late march, Mike was informed that Siver was being put up for sale by Coalision, by this time the full 06/07 line had been designed and orders to shops had been placed, so Coalision had to produce this years line, which is why you can still buy new Siver. As far as I know, nobody has bought Siver or even thought about it yet (I could be wrong, last I heard was in July). But in July the team was dropped and ads both online and print were stopped, and I dont think any Siver is being designed or produced for next year. Thankfully Orage offered Mike a very nice job so he can still support his wife and two little ones, but ya as far as I know Siver R.I.P. for now.
 
basically what MAtt Walker Said but i heard Mike tried to buy it back or is trying. That really sucks if siver be gone.
 
ns should really buy siver its a great idea: everyone put some money in a pot and buy the company...
