he's on the msp program now (ie Salomon and Helly) so I'm sure he'll have a pretty dope seg with them... in between hours of base jumping.

Being a Base jumper I do own almost every film about it. I liked watching Shane go off for 15 minutes in Yearbook as well. You keep hanging out in the park Jibtech, Thats good place for you. Nice and safe. You seem to hate everything that involves your fears.

I don't pretend to know anything about base jumping, but suffice to say its not something I enjoy watching. I think Jibtech would share the same sentiment. Most people watch ski movies to watch skiing. It would be like showing an ice climbing segment in a ski movie. Although I don't doubt the technique needed, its just not my bag. But then again, neither is MSP, so I guess that works out pretty well. But I gotta say...little disappointed with Teddy Bear for throwing the skarachuting in. Don't go down that road boys!

exactly. ski movies are called "ski" movies for a reason. the hugely long basejumping section in mcconkeys part was a little tedious. i mean yeah, base jumping is sick, but i'm watching the movie to see the skiing and after watching him do like 5 cliffs i was satisfied with that, but instead it went on for 15 minutes and i was like christ, when is this going to end, this movie is already bad. if i'm watching a ski movie i want to see skiing and maybe a smidgen of some other crazy shit, but not 15 minutes of it. his segment was longer than anyones and it was hardly skiing.

Well put freeride54. But ski/base is still in it's expeirmental stages. Imagine when it progresses into skiing huge lines that have no out. You can go back to Valdez and ski all the runs that nobody could ski because they end in a 1000 ft cliff.

^I have to agree. Although some of the time, like most of the helmet cam shots, can be fun to watch, I was hoping to watch a ski movie. I have really felt let down by msp with every movie since ski movie three. They are not as good anymore.

 
see, i don't mind the SKI-BASE if they wanna put that it. They can ski some gnarley lines, and have to end in cliffs, but they should seriously speed up the base part. like, show the line, and then a fast forward of a person floating down with a parachute. That way you get the skiing part.. and can stilly show where the skier went, rather than throwin in a new clip and havin people be confused. and Sno-man is equivalent to the aids virus. haha. did he really say "fagtech'.... he sure did. you must be getting PUNK'd

It's fun pissing people off. BASE jumping is the best sport ever evented. Everyone should go out and order "BAse Jumping Baffin Islands" with Shane and Miles. Rails on skies look like roller blading. It's fucking gay and you wanting to watch hours of that shit makes you fucking gay. It's like comparing figure skating to hockey. SOunds like we a a lot of figure skaters on this site. I can not stand watching rails and the same jump over and over. I really can't stand watching a bunch off midget white boys acting like there tuff either.

 
i know whats repetitive! base jumping. i mean, it'd be fun to do, but 2 mins of base footage is about 1.5 minutes too many.

the real problem is that none of these movies are well rounded. MSP has too much ski basing and level one has too much rails

i want ski movies to be more like snowboard movies well rounded and never the same rail or jump in any other segments but the one persons they're in

^well let me tell you right now that no snowboard video would EVER even think of putting a base jumping segment in, it's just common sense, they understand how not to ruin their image
