What happened to lateralis

Lateralis? He had like 700 posts lol. Mattman has the most with like 18500 or something round there
 
Yeah, his time on NS was a turbulent one. And he had several thousand posts.

He got banned, and like me he got his post count removed because of spamming. The same thing happenned to me a few years ago, but I got my posts back, i don't think he did.
 
It was such a long drawn out process of lat leaving, but what ended up happening was that he realized he was to mature for newschoolers
 
I can see why he stopped making his celeb appearances.. all the new shitty noobish members like me are bringing this site down the drain! I can see why someone like that would want to stop coming on here very often.

I loved him while he was in his prime thuogh. (that being the prime that I saw) I dont know what he was like before the year of 2004 though.
 
The so called "golden age" of newschoolers never really existed. I was under a different name for a year (peta), and NS was really tired, nothing new ever happenned. It was basically a site by amateur skiers, populated by amateur skiers. Then, more people started to show up, and the originals started to mature. Lat wasn't an original.

More people, more things on NS, and people started branching out. The so called "golden age" was just a bunch of who you see now, but 4-5 years younger, and were either fags or shit talkers.
 
NS has had its ups and downs since I've been here (I've been around since late 2002) and while its had a few really rough spells its held up pretty well. Although I'll be honest, in the past couple years the wave of 15 year-olds who all think they're hot shit have kinda taken away from the site but I'll always love NS. And as long as their shit talking stays in the NSG who really cares, thats pretty much what its for. Yea I agree that a lot of the tension on here is caused by a lot of members getting older while young members keep joining, but all in all I think that NS will just keep growing and becoming a stronger and bigger community of people with a passion for the progression of skiing. Well I guess that had nothing to do with Lateralis but thats just my two cents...
 
So basically I joined at a good time, I really miss the quickchat though!

I met like 10 people through that thing.
 
i remember quick chat. that was before i was a memeber i came and looked around and saw the boxes going. that wouldn't work though.
