What happened to Dynastar's creativity?

I was looking at skis on Facebook marketplace when I saw Dynastar's old top sheet designs, is this actually the same company? What made them change to a simple black color?

Phil LaRose Pro's from 06? Coolest color and graphs of any ski I ever skied

Personally I prefer Phil Dion's

The first concept and the candide pro were honestly fucking awesome skis, then the trouble maker with the dark eyes on the shovel had insane pop. One of my Mount Rushmore skis if I could ever find a pair

ngl i think dynasters current freeride skis with the marble are one of the best graphics of all time, subtle yet more interesting than factions boring white and gold look.

They were my first twin tip skis! Sadly, I snapped both of them in half in a month. A few years ago, I found a pair of concept twinboard and gave it a ride for old time sake.

They handle so poorly comparing to todays park skis. They are super narrow and the gnarliest speed wobbles develop as you getting ready to boost a kicker.

Still those 2 skis will aways mean a lot to me.

unfortunately this is the case with a shit ton of ski brands now that it’s not 2007 anymore and twintips are no longer the hot new crazy thing

I loved the old green and black troublemakers. Those were so cool back in the day.

but yeah Rossignol both them. I think Rossignol was connected to quicksilver and their bankruptcy (don’t want to look it up right now). Dynastar development kinda got put on ice for a second.

I had those with the matching pivots and they were so fire. Know of any current skis that have that much pop? I loved riding those.

I got a pair. There’s nothing insanely trill about them at all, but I copped em for like 160 bucks with bindings that already click wit my boots so.. ?

Rossignol, quiksilver, Roxy, Dynastar et al have been under the same umbrella pretty much since twintips existed.

I loved skiing on these Candide pros back in like ‘03. They even had clear grip tape in front of the bindings for mute grabs.
