Magic Mountain had an official one (Road to Ruin) the 18-19 season, but they called it a mass-start downhill. It was pretty cool, with heats for age/gender and then the winner of each heat in a final round. They offered a big enough cash prize that everyone took risks

park city used to have a closing day scramble where everyone took their skis off and threw them in a big pile and then like at some point it was go time and you had to find your skis and put them on and ski down as fast as possible. it was magical.
