What happened to Andreas Hatveit?

Hey guys!

I wonder what happened to Andreas Hatveit? The last time i was see him was in comps 2(?) seasons ago... Did he quit skiing or just competitions? Did he announced his end of his career which i didnt realize in the past?

thx for any informations!

I think he retired a few years ago. I miss his dub cork 10s though where he wouldn't go inverted but had the double axis wave.

didn't he get 4th place at olympic slope? and then sorta retired to be a family man. something like that. he's def made edits more recently than 2 years ago

He quit competative skiing after the Olympics.

TGP vol. 5 was his last edit: “This is my last ever edit and wanted it to be a banger, but we only got to film half of the features before i broke my arm. So its only half an edit but better then nothing.” – Andreas

He aslo released a book this summer, but don't know if it's i english, it's called "Triksehopperen" or "The Trickjumper".. I recommend it to everyone! No matter if you ski or not.

I just really hope he keeps his "backyard" park going long into the future, I really want to see progression on rails to continue to be pushed to the max, it doesn't even have to be him (Braaten's flip on flip off was unreal). Someone get Jesper in there.

Yep i hope we see more of Andreas Backyard in the future! Are the 2 towers between the Inrun of his kicker (you can see it in one TGP Edit) his house? His whole property looks awsome!

nah, he retired from competition after the Olympics last year, then put out one more TGP before announcing his retirement from the sport at a professional level

I Grantee we will see his backyard because in the video of the flip on flip out that Øystein Bråtenin does in his backyard andreases son is on the snowmobile with him. That kid will probably be nasty because he will ski that backyard park all the time and his dad is andreas haha. He could just ask him to build any kind of jump or setup any kind of rail feature he wants.

Not sure if this is right, but i'm almost positive he quit competitions after the olympics and then made one more TGP edit saying that he's retiring from skiing.

Yes, TGP Vol 5 was released summer/autumn last year, so after the olympics, and in the description of this video he wrote that this was his last edit ever...

The crazy thing about Andreas is that he didn't fade away. When he retired he was undeniably at the peak of his skiing ability and arguably the best technical rail skier of all time.

I really miss his edits, and it's a shame the last one ended with him breaking his arm. I hope we get a vol. 6 in a few years.

No it is not his house, though I beleive they are able to go inside of it on the bottom, but the top portion is just for show. On one side is an elevator to get up to the top

It might be a while, but he will have more edits in the future. I don't care what he says. He's a skier and it will happen.

I predict that his kids are going to come up on the shred super hard. Imagine having that park in your backyard and daddy Andreas to coach you. His kid(s) (idk how many he is) are going to take the game over in a future era
