What guitar should i buy

If you have time to look, a fender Japanese strat is amazing.I have one and it destroys any american strat ever, so much that fender america made Japan never produce guitars for exporting anymore. I got it for 300$ too at a pawn shop

But your question is SOOO WIDE, there are so many different types of guitar playing, genres etc.. What do you want to play?

electric or acoustic? if your getting an acoustic get a taylor. for an electric get a gibson or a paul reed smith. paul reed smiths are the shiiiittt

ok i guess i should hav put this n the orignal post its eletric and i dont like too many fenders

Thats terrible advice, sorry. Most guitars should be bought by walking into a guitar shop and playing all the guitars and find one thats for you. Taylors are NICE, but the NICE ones are hard to find at $800, gibsons are FAR overpriced, and hell be able to get a fair gibson for that price, and PRS, are you kidding me? Theres no way he can get one in that price range (unless you mean the cheap 300 PRS models, which are korean crap and dont do the real prses justice

just my .02

gibsons are fucking expensive. you can get an epiphone if you really like gibsons, theyre made in the same factory i think just not as good quality. id say an ibenez. i have a holo-body and its so sweet

Look into Jackson Dinkys, or Ibeanez(spelling?) both companies make very good shredding guitars around 600-700

But youll want active pickups for Metal

Oh and I forgot about shecters, they make some great value guitars, korean made but QC is in USA. And youll want a locking trem ofcourse, preferably Floyd rose

when i was twelve and finally saved enough money for i waited for an entire year before i found the right one. Dont rush it dude, electrics are not about quality, you can always get better pickups. Its all about its character

Peavey T-60. Trust me, you can't go wrong. You can get them for $300. It's such an underrated guitar, do some research and you'll see.

PARKER GUITAR!!! BEST GUITAR EVER! a little expoensive but you can get one under or just around 800

in your price range

i would go schecter.

amazing quality, and they play real nice

you can also get a gibson SG special for that much(i have one)

and i would reccomend it anyday

if you want acoustic, there is no question

get a breedlove atlas series

they just dropped the price to 799 and it is too good to miss

i recently bought an Atlas series dreadnaught SR/25+ for $1025 and it was the best purchase i ever made

so 799 is a freaking steal

for acoustic id say martain. maybe out of price range tho.

elecric-fender, gibson, or ibnez

an ESP Alexi signature model that is. but dont bother with the Alexi 200 they look the same but they are not as good as the 600 or even the actual model. they use cheaper wood and have a bolt on neck versus the neck thru body on the higher ones.

after lots of searching I finally decided to get an Epiphone Les Paul:

This this is sick as hell, sounds just like a lot of the Gibsons I played. Has great dynamic range, super rich groovy tone. I absolutely love it. only $435 too.

PRS guitars are fucking amazing, one day I will have a doublecut semi-hollowbody...but they are $2,000+

My advice: go to the store, try as many as you can, find what feels good. Test it out with an amp that is similar to yours, and do tests. Check for intonation, feedback, sustain, etc.

If you do enough research, you could find a really good guitar for around $500, then spend the rest on effects shit. I recommend reverb, chorus, overdrive, delay, etc.

Right now I have a Boss DD-7 delay with an overdrive pedal, and I'm about to pick up a phat reverb pedal so I can play cello bow on my guitar.

Never played an Ibanez, but i have played my fair share of gibson les pauls, do your research and you could find one for about $800.

Ibanez's are mainly good shred guitars. If your going to look at BC Rich, then check out the higher end Mockingbirds, everything else BC Rich has is shit. Jackson, Epi, and ESP also make pretty good metal/blues guitars.

Out of all bandmates I have associated with, some brands I have seen are:

Ibanez (sexy guitar, decent sound, many options at all price ranges)

Gibson Les Paul (came with case, immaculate quality)

Schecter Various 6 and 7-strings (very metal, excellent quality for the price, also good for all-around)

Fender Strat and Tele (sweet classic, all-around sound)

I'd suggest an Ibanez or Schecter for you, they offer models in many price ranges, with quality following the cash curve (more cash, better quality). They can do many sounds VERY well.

Personally I think Fender Strats sound amaaazing, but are hideously ugly. But hey that's just me.

ok so i went and play all guitars today im goin to buy a ibanez idk im leaning toward the iceman and want an an amp too ne suggestions

Nice Choice on the guitar.

I second the Tube amp suggestion

For a vast amount more knowledge, I'd suggest the forums on Harmony-Central.com
