What good deals have you guys scored this year?

should be getting 1 or even 2 pairs of scratch bc's from rossi for free for the "create it" contest, weeeee.

you don't need to weigh 250 to set your din at 12. ill be just fine. i just want all metal so my bindings don't explode.

and the highest your din should ever have to go to (well on the chart anyways) is like a 10 (provided he doesn't have stubby little feet) for an absolute expert 6'6, 230lb dude. cranking it another notch over that is pretty insane. anymore is just dangerous and stupid. you might as well be strapping your skis to your feet with buckles because if you bail and your skis twist, your knee is ripping apart before your binding is releasing.

i just hate the way people crank their bindings higher than any human being should ever have to because it's like, the cool thing to do.

please tell me this design won because i absolutely love it:

juvy's braand spanking new for 90 bucks. Also a siick ogio backpack full of gear for a 25 dollar competition fee. got second.

umm, i just got fujis with some p14s for 250 shipped (both new/unused), they are last years (04/05) but i like that graphic better anyway and it is the exact same ski

-Axial2 120 ti Pro for $99 from REI.

-2 sets of free poles that I got when I snapped my previous poles. They have gotten nicer every time.

first....a din of 11 or 12 isn't that high.

second - there are many people who need to run a high din to keep their skis on their feet just cause they ski that fast or huck big enough.

last - a lot of people ride race stocks because frankly, plastic normal stock bindings break and don't provide the same type of control to the ski.

I hate my when skis come off my feet. I run my din at 10-11, depending on the day. I dont have the prerelease problems that I did with s914/s912s and I have more control over my skis than I did with normal looks/rossis.

Not everyone riding race stocks runs their din at 15.

generalizing that everyone with race stocks is running a super man din to look cool is kind of stupid.

but...at the same time there are kids who do this and yes, it is retarded.

So I guess I both agree and disagree with this.

For those who need a higher din or metal binding, then all is good.

For kids hanging out in the park with s916s (while there is a few who need them)....you knees will hate you in a few years.

I run s916s on all of my skis EXCEPT my park skis, which I run just normal Scratch 100's. My din never goes above 8.5 in the park.
