What FT tongue would feel like a 100 stiffness rating?

I have Seth Morrison’s. I’m assuming it’s the #6 tongue but I’ve seen a couple contradicting comments.

Really? These feel stuffed than 100s to me...

6 to me feels like an 80 and 8s don’t feel much better than that (I’m currently on 8 flex booters) I’d say 10+ would feel around the 100 range. Shame there isn’t a real scale for boot flex.

I've seen three contradicting charts lol. That's why I'm confused. My FTs definitely feel stiffer than the Atomic Hawx Ultra 100s I was fitted for last week though, that's for sure.

Maybe I'll order some #8s and see how they feel. It's not that my boots are too stiff, it's just that I wouldn't mind some more flex in the park.

FLEX INDEX DOESN'T EXIST. 100 stiffness rating means fuck all.

Don't pay attention to that shit. It's absolutely garbage and doesn't correlate to anything. Try on two different 100 flex options, sometimes from the same brand, and they will flex entirely differently.

This is how you should rate it... if you can easily flex and feel like you're either flexing to the point where your heel is getting added pressure or youre flexing your knee well past the toe of your boot, then it may be too soft (or if you feel like you're out of control when skiing variable terrain at a fast speed)

The Seth Morrisons come stock with a 10 tongue... but you can look on the inside and see where the arrow points to and see which tongue you have. I have a pair of wallisch boots with a 10 tongue, for example.. Because the 6 tongue was hilariously soft.

I feel like the 8 tongue is a pretty happy medium unless you weigh alot or are hyper agro and smash through bumped out shit at mach 10 with your hair catching fire... and usually in that case, the distortion of the lower is usually too soft anyway with FT's... and leads to a bit too much lateral torsion in the heel for some dudes.

I’m 6ft 175-185lbs depending on the day lol. I pretty much jib and ride groomers. However I do jump lines and bigger features when they’re available (I live in Wisconsin). I’m going to try the 10s out and if I find them too stiff I will try the 8.

I’ve heard myths about a 14 flex from ft seen like 1 bump skier with them. I asked about it and he said he sent an email to ft and requested a stiffer flex. Cost a bit extra but they made one up.

you cant really compare the flex of full tilts to traditional boots, they just arent the same... that being said im riding with some 12 tongues right now and I LOVE THEM
