What features what you like to see at your local park

Well my local park(Toggenburg mountain) basically has nothing. So at least a good rail would be nice.

It would be nice if creek would actually use all their features instead of keeping them in a pile for the whole season.

My home mountain should step their game up on park features. I mean come on, this was one of the few features that were new this year and was only in for one day.
index.php

Change up park every month. All features used. No huge features if you can't get speed for them. Stuff that is somewhat smooth

My home mountain actually has a decent selection of rails, but the jumps suck. They're extremely steep and throw you off axis when spinning. Good for flips but sucks for non inverted tricks

Step downs!Bear Mtn had a tiny step down, and a few years back Jackson Hole had a nice launch to stepdown of decent size. Loved it. Love step downs. Why are they so rare? Beats me :-(

This. It really rustles my jimmies when I go ski and my resort has 80%+ of their features laying around, never to be used all season

Until now probably yes.

But to keep the thread on track, 4 kink rails, transitions, curved rails, circle rail.

I really want meadows to put a rope tow in shipyard for winter season, and t-line really needs a public rope tow or two for their public park, cause hiking is a bitch for 4 hours

I've always thought Brighton could put in the sickest rope-tow either beside the jump line or the green tubes. Then make the PEEPS pass thing they require cost like 20 bucks and that should pay for the operation of a small rope tow for the season, but then again I have no idea how expensive rope tows are.

Drop rails. drop c rails, drop s rails, drop elbows, drop rainbows, drop down rails, etc.

Im having a hard time putting this into works for some reason. but maybe some rails that have two rails side by side mounted.

also some jumps that aren't shit would be nice

Would be nice if the park was groomed and open every day, if there was a jump line you could hit without having to speed check or tuck between hits, jumps were shaped and sized correctly instead of being random sized wedges, jump on rails would be good. Being able to show up and just ski park instead of voluntarily digging to open a few features...

Well that was a rant. The park is bad, but the rest of the mountain can be great for the east and there is a great community there.

The insurance is fucking ridiculous for a rope tow. The rope tow according to the insurance companies has the highest rate of injury of any lift. This is the reason why mostly every resort is going with conveyors along with it being more noob friendly.

Insurance companies can go get fucked.

Well at bogus basin in boise... they have very few rails that are always shit and a small jump line of like 2 maybe 3 jumps that max at like 20 feet. And they have a policy where you cant do inverted tricks or you get your pass pulled.... so no backflips, frontflips, rodeos etc.

So really anything would be nice.

Last season we only had 1 real jump (the other was this weird roller with a massive rail).

Kinda like jumps myself. The rails were good though.

...wait...actually? i didnt know that any mountain could even have this policy. is this only at your mountain or do other mountains have this too? i hope this doesnt become a thing.

1.)They should actually use all the features instead of keeping them in a big ass pile2.)Don't make shitty big ass jumps on a little ass run in the midwest

3.) Get some super creative shit that's like urban and stuff instead of the standard rails and boxes.

4.) Actually have some of these mountains in the Midwest take care of the park instead of working on it like once a month and leaving shitty lips and shit to rails.

I still love skiing here tho, considering how shitty it is.

My local park had the same rule about inverted tricks up until this year... Still only have a jump line of 2 jumps that are never maintained though. you can't get enough speed for the first jump even If you go right from the top of the hill AND you need to speed check before the second jump to avoid overshooting so its hard to throw good tricks anyway
