at 40-43 seconds in, it almost looks like a type of lens flare when you can see the colors changing

It's a film burn, search "clutter folder" on pirate bay and you can get a bunch of them.

film burns are super played out now, and get over used. don't really bother with putting them in your edits. thats just my personal opinion though.

yeahh but I still think it looks tight if you do it right, like the way AJ uses them I think it looks awesome, jsut quick flashes taht he does looks great.

Just don't use them randomly for transition. Check them in All.i.Can, they are wisely used and the purpose isn't just "let's give some orange tones in all this white and blue". Nah, it suggest the warmth and solidarity of a group in isolated places. You must justify your choices.
