crazy train park, simon dumont double front flip, tanner hall chads gap and double misty 1440

no edit ever brought me skiing. my dad brought me skiing when i was 2 years old and it just kinda snowballed from there...
But T-Walls superunknown was definitely the first super influential edit, before that is was always movie segments, like pep and tanner in 1242.
The very first thing that ever made me want to get into "freestyle" skiing (basically just hitting jumps and trying tricks) was MSP's Sick Sense, the New Canadian Airforce segment blew my mind. before that i didn't know skiers hit big jumps and did cool looking tricks. JP, JF, Vinny. CLASSIC.

i just saw jumps in the park as a little kid and thought it would be fun to go in to air and see how high i could get

When I lived in Cali I missed the snow (Before I skied) and I used youtube to find vids of snow (I was just 9) and I stumbled across Jon Olsson and Colby West edits. I kept watching them, and that winter when I moved back to Norway, I started skiing.

My sister gave me a one of Tanner Halls trophy's from the powder awards so I looked him up and found his teddy bear crisis segment and was blown away.

On my birthday my friend sent me a link to newschoolers, then i found TC and watched the whole 1st and 2nd season in a row. It got me stoked!!

I started skiing when I was about three years old, I'm not entirely sure we had the same kind of "edits" back then..

Oddly, it was snowmobile edits that brought me into skiing.

From there, I did some sledding on some of my sisters boyfriends machines, and fell in love. Unfortunately, even though I had the money from working summers, I did some looking. When I approached my dad to ask him if I could by a sled, he downright said no, and didn't want me to have anything to do with sleds. He claimed they were money pits, and just to dangerous for me. I'm not sure how it all played out but I had been on school ski trips and shit before, and I was on youtube, and I ran across this little gem which I'm sure everyone here has seen.

Everything about this video was perfect. I was just so blown away by everything. Like I said, I had only skied a handful of times before on school ski trips, and once for a buddies birthday. This was the next best thing to snowmobiling, and It was alot cheaper, and seemed to be a safer alternative in my old mans eyes. He still wasn't happy when I wanted to drop like 500 bucks on gear to get started, he said I would never use it...... Now a few years later, I'm happy with the way I'm skiing, and I'm just getting into park skiing/freeride rippin around the hill, and it's the one of the best things that's ever happened to me.

he got in trouble for like hopping a slow sing or somthin, and didnt realise ski patrol was chasing him until he got to the liftline.

This. I remember seeing this on youtube and it was called What Jesus Would Look Like If He Freestyle Skied. I still love this edit too this day. Btw quality thread.

I remember watching all of the old 4bi9 edits, those are what got me into it. Really though 4bi9's look it up really got me into park skiing for good. After I saw that, I was so stoked just to get out there and have a good time and ski park.

I can't really say an edit brought me to skiing itself because I've been doing this since I was 3. But that's what got me into park skiing.

Word same. A bunch of kids I knew skied in the terrain park, it was fun. I don't think I started watching edits until my second year.

But i would have to say this.
