What does Tanner want us to Believe?

i haven't seen anything but he is talking as if he is leading this huge movement from the park to the bc when there are people like pollard etc who have BEEN doing it for a while, im not saying that he won't do some amazing stuff out there because he certainly has the potential to, but AS OF NOW he has been talking so much about bc progression but he has nothing to show for it. and he is acting as if he is the first guy to fuse the bc and the park when he really isn't.

plus his big mountain looks like crap. that AK line at the beginning of the trailer looked sketchy as hell. when i see seth or jp ski lines like that they look smooth.

Tanner is clearly showing that we all need to go do 5's off of urban concrete ledges. No question.

I think you misunderstood my post. I am in no way saying Tanner does rip. He is stepping up his game, but his ability to rip big mountain lines is not near the level of guys like Sage or Abma who are throwing tricks in their lines already. I'm not going to even mention Seth because there is no argument. Just look at all of their turns. Tanner is behind in that part of his skiing. Maybe he'll get there, maybe he wont. Irrelevant. I agree that what he is doing is good, but I'd just rather watch him ski park or very short bc lines where he throws an incredible trick off something. Watching him make so so turns down some huge line just doesn't do it for me. Still, that shot at the beginning of the teaser is pretty dope.

ya if you land fakie in a 3....

and i think tanner wants us to just believe.... lets recape shall we.......

-his best friend almost died

-one of his friends from c-crew did die

-he is thankfull that he can still ski after his injury

-he is one of the best skier's in the world right now..

i tihnk that can sum up why he called the film Believe...

he does a nose butter and then spins 360 degrees; arguably a nose butter 3

regardless, i agree with the rest of that post

Uhh... i donno which teaser you saw, but i saw an urban cork 5 and a fucking sick pillow line. who gives a fuck anyways. he probably did it so it would stir up shit. i'd do the same if iw as him.

THAT HIS ANKLES ARE BROKEN DUHHH

Jokes. I agree with the guy who said that stuff about how one of his closet friends almost died and another did and how he can still ski after that fall.....

he's completely killing it.. and, believe is more of an artistic concept than literally, "believe what I said about vikings at a pipe comp" in my opinion

because tanner thinks he is the high fucking emperor of skiing, he thinks that he should let everyone in on his high and mighty knowledge.

^^^^ no, tanner is trying to make a dope movie, it is called "believe" not "beleive tanner." from tanner himself: "a series of teasers that will come out each

month until the movie is gonna be out

so the next one will say believe SETH

then believe IAN then believe KYE.

were not trying to make you believe anything"

I think he wants us to believe in Ford Trucks. Why else the SUV cruising down the highway at the beginning? Think it was paid product placement? If so how much?

i personally think it was one of the best trailers ever made

almost every shot was so sick

i really wouldnt consider it straght lining when he is dropping like 20 pillows in a row that are like 20ft average

Holy shit man, how can you say that? I doubt you would have the balls to do a fakie 9 over chad's. And let a man scream about broken ankles, I bet that shit hurts like no other.

if u actaully sit down and watch the movie it shows the other sid eof skiing you don't see all too often cause of Xgames, WSC, those kinds of comp and yea tanner's trying to progress the sport by doing that but now what compnaies know are looking for riders who can ski both pw and park and cant remember who posted it early but it hit in on the head t-halls probebly sick of kids throwing down corked 9 buts go into 1 foot of snow and they ski like a gabber and if you can ski both you'll stand out cause look how many there are of us on this site imagine if all of the members tried to get sponsored by 1 company you gotta stand out and if you can throw down in the park and ski sick pow lines and spin/flips off cliffs they're gonna them over someone who is just park (this is what 4frnt said to me for applying next year) and after watching Believe im gonna start skiing more pow lines so i dont think tanner is saying we should screw park and just ski bc hes just trying to show us what back country skiing is and open our minds to it

How can you be mad at someone for wanting to change what he does up. He switched out of the pipe so he can come back to it when it isn't just the same run over and over again, maybe? Maybe after he does the big mountain thing for a bit he will reinvent the pipe, maybe not. Who cares I don't blame him. I would want to ski everything if I had the money to ski everything. You wouldn't catch me in the same place twice doing the same old things if I had the chance. Would you?

Ignorant statement about Tanner #456,738

Tanner has gotten a lot better in the tech lines, he improved quite a bit even since Show and Prove. That's bound to happen if you ride w Seth.

AK is awsome, but straight lining it sure isn't the way to go. I think that people should spend a little more time out of the park, but there is no way that park is going to die out and people are just going to skiing the sick pow lines all day. the people pregressing out there all learned most of their moves in a park settting so they aren't going to want the parks gone even if they don't ever use them.

In the second volume of Great Expectation Dickens presents Pip with a strange dilemma. The man who changed his life into a one of being a true gentleman turned out to be the criminal he helped as a child. Pip is crushed because he feels all his expectations are created upon dishonest support with is inevitably illegal. Pip choses to give the criminal asylum in his residence for the evening but doesn't feel any thank or grace towards the man. This being the first expectation that was planted in the first volume.
