What does Amplid Mean?

i dont think it has a specific meaning. the brand Amplid is from germany and so am i. the word amplid doesnt exist.

its most likely a fantasy name. such as ON3P or Dynastar etc.
 
ON3P actually has meaning behind it.
ON3P => ONE 3 P ==> 13 P ==> 13 Proctor ==> 13th & Proctor
which is the location where the company was started.
 
I think its funny how ON3P means On 13th and Proctor... Like its a cool idea and all but missing the 1. Not trying to hate, its just something I always thought about.
 
Pretty sure they took amplid from amplitude. Amplitude being height or how how high something gets in the air relates to skiing and the X-Games announcers drop the word almost as much as "Shaun White" so not only does it appeal to someone who knows the industry and how great Alex Martini and the whole team are it's easy for a basic consumer to understand. Amplid = go high.
 
I don't like the way they spell the name. It's confusing as fuck. I always say "oh-En-three-pee".

That's what's dope about ON3P. Who would have thought that it's pronounced about as straight forward as possible. Just read it out.

But while it's not the easiest company name to say aloud, it's super recognizable when written down. It's a pretty unique combo of letters/numbers, short, and distinct. I love the name.
