What do you want to see in youth skiing for the future?

Real edits too and not just Instagram/Tic Tok shots.

so true. I’m a young one and think some real films with more effort would stand out and be better than what we see today

I am a youth skier myself and I have to say I am not the best at that. I don’t make tik tocs thank god but I make more Instagram edits and I only have one longer season edit. It is hard for kids to make a long ski edit because I don’t have many rail tricks and also I don’t have a car so I couldn’t go and hit urban spots and if I made an edit of one park it would probably get boring

More kids hitting urban. Being from Quebec it doesn't really make sense right now. Everyone is coming to Quebec to hit street, but not many people actually from here do hit street, because there all focusing on comps. When I was 15-16, there was a lot more hype on hitting urban, and there was a lot of crews in Qc doing it. We would ask our moms to drive us to spots and to pick us up afterwards, and when a friend got his driving license, we would really take advantage of it.

kids progressing through smaller tricks in all four directions. nothing worse than some comp jock who can chuck a dub 12 but can barely do unnatural cork 7 or rodeo 5, but that's what this sport has become

Ah this just hit me real hard.... Big regrets from not learning more when I was younger.

in all seriousness, i wanna see young guns keeping creative with tricks and style, having fun with the sport, posting sick but interesting edits, and keeping positive attitudes/comradery towards other riders.

I see it every day I ski at my local hill. There's a core group of middle to high school age kids who ski every chance they get and shred. I see them joking around doing fun silly stuff all the time but also sending and progressing, learning new tricks every time they ski. They're super stoked every time a feature gets installed even if it's something small.
