Since I'm making a ski flick this year, I want to know what exactly you guys want to see in a movie? What type of music do you like, what kind of tricks do you want to see? Do you want more urban rails, more backcountry, or park?

i'd like to see some really unique editing - not just jump after jump after jump. use some special effects in the profiles, etc.

 
I want a whole movie (like at least 30 minutes,) of ONE RAIL! Or just a really tight well balanced and perfectly edited movie. And bails. Lots of them.

all im telling you so far is that the trailor is going to have the who - wont get fooled again as the song, and the crash segment is going to be blur - song 2

a professional look. Professional style filming, editing and skiing all in one. Eunique shots and eunique tricks/jibs. Songs that match the skiing, not all hiphop or punk, throw a little 80s or somthing in there to mix it up. Lifestyle shots also give the flick a good 'in touvh with the rider' feeling. umm ya thats a good start.

gotta have variety, variety of shots and locations. pipe, park, bc, freeskiing and random shit, and naked chicks wouldnt hurt either. new music is always good too, gotta make it all flow.

 
Some System of a Down songs would be so dope to hear in movie. And go to photos and the rail section,there's some wicked rails I want to see cleared and 270'd on.

anyways, i wanna see more stuff like cr's rail session in sm3, where he hit 4 or 5 in one shot. scenes along those lines would be sick. as well, whole slopstyle-like runs while in the park would be nice.

dont just throw shot after shot after shot at us. take some time between jumps/rails/cliffs, w/e to talk to the rider before he hits the jump, get right in the riders faces, get it real up close and personel. and make the music match the riders style. dont go for one music type in the movie just always keep it in sync with the riders style, thats what looks the best. and a good hearty mix of urban, backcountry and park is always good. ohh and set up something unique thats urban, real unique, something that has NEVER been done before ever in the history of skiing, thats what i want to see in a ski movie.

but for cameras were using a Canon Gl1, maybe a Sony DV (dont know what kind) with a wideangle lens, and I'm planning on getting a Canon Optura 200MC with a wideangle .50 lens

I want to hear the skiers speak, here them see them give their opinion on stuff like comps and new tricks. interviews are awesome. and i wanna see some one do a backflip and the camera to rotate withem so they are always vertical on the screen and the jump rotates around them.that would be awesome

the one oldschool/newschool combination i wanna see is a super slow smooth twister to railslide. it would look great.

Twisters are super gay. They are old school for a reason. The only place a twister belongs is in a mogul comp, and then they still suck. Now a tweeked out revert onto a rail would look cool.

 
Crane cams, they should get more creative with running wires (to run the cameras a long). It'd be sick if they could lay one down the side of the mountain and get the skier to ski down next to it. Cameras stationed on steep descents more often would be good, distant shots and helicopter shots are gay because they don't give a good indication of the steepness of a run. More of a set up to what it being shown, like the Bella Coola trip segment in Ski Movie 2 was really good. More creative rails, urban rails, kickers over busy roads or something (prob been mentioned many times before).

 
how boout crouch grab, onto the rail keep crouch grabbin while doing the rail and then just before the landing tweak it and release, now that would be the steez!
