I'm thinking of doing one this year for fun, what would you like to see in a movie? Keep in mind that the talent is amatuer,and we really dont have much of a budget.

And for a another thing: female skiiers will progress so much more when we stop thinking of them as sex toys. So, no naked shots. That shit would be cold.

"huge backcountry jumps in the urban streets" actually that would be cool, like how those kids on here built that gap in the middle of the field and were getting toe'd in by that snowmobile.

ive got another version of the pole dangle, its pretty funny too, gets cold when i do it on the lift tho.

creative and artistic editing as well as great skiing. i liked the editing the the snowboard movie, POP. check it out

im bringing back a random old post cause im sitting here watching snowboard movies and such and i gots me some opinons.

i want to see cohesevice soundtracks, preferably all DJ Gussied-up like absinthe pulls off... and Teddybear Crisis made a solid crack at. I'm on From ____, With Love right now... and the riding is fucking ill, but like every other movie last year (aside from the aforementioned 2) it's just got a random collection of The Faint and The Sounds and The ________s. War was alright... k, whatever, moving on.

I want to see multiple hit lines... like... double stagers, or BC booter line-ups.. fuck extra work, dig for a day, kill it the next... totally worth it. I may be in no position to say shit, i'm just a (cheap) consumer with an opinion. But yeah... urban too... like... hit one rail, pan over to another in the vicinity, hit that one, move to a ledge, bomb drop, etc.

I want to see some kind of theme too... absinthe uses songs in their trailers that will be in the movies... thus setting a tone from the very start. I personally like an intro that hooks up with rider intros... so it all ties together... and some sort of story line style, like Mack Dawg's weird travel/bond thing they've got going on... not really doin it.

so basically, all you kids with cameras and final cut out there... im a loser with time to kill so sulfill my dreams and get on your shit, think it out... dont just throw some half assed "we like 2 skee, look at us go, we are zooooooooming" sort of jib-video at me. make your movie so smart that no one gets it and you can just feel superior to all of the little pawns buying it... if thats your thing.
 
i honestly dont care what kind of footage you have as far as park, big mountain etc... just as long as you are having fun. just go for the fun style and it will be cool to watch. i could care less if you can do 450 to rails as long as you have some cool shots, good editing, fun music, and just have some plain goofy or funny stuff in there. i would just say to just have fun filming and im sure it will come out great.
