I want to be a pediatrician, but 8-10 years of college does not sound very appealing. I am majoring in Communications which means I can do basically anything.

so i haven't been into the school thing for quite sometime, since i was 12 or so. i've decided to take the path of ski patroller/back country guide/bum.

i plan on being a ski patroller primarily at a nice resort like vail or something. (i'll have one year under my belt in 2 weeks) Slowly i'm making connections in the guiding business, but it is hard man. there are only a handful of places that you can guide in colorado and not that fast of a turn over rate.

after i kill myself in the back country or want to do something else (i'll be doing school on the side as well, the 8-10 year plan). i'd like to become a fire fighter. the schedual they get is amazing. 7 days on 10 days off or whatever and you get paid while you nap. if that doesn't work ot i'll probably dip into something to do with the medical feild. you can always get plenty of hours in those jobs.

so that is the plan i have designed in the past year. i'm sure it will be completely different in 3 years. but at least i'm trying to do something instead of jsut getting fucked up and working.

ps: GO TO SCHOOL! so much easier than going back to it.

i'm going to be an air traffic controller. i should be hired in a little over a year. i'm so freakin scared..it's pretty much the most stressful job. aaaand..i'm gonna live on a ski area and ski everyday when i'm not working

^i 100% agree that kids should stay in school, cause going out of it for a while, then going back is real tough. plus its nice to get it over with as fast as possible.

Ideally I'd love to be a photographer for a ski/snowboard magazine or National Geographic, but the actual chances of that happening are slim to none.

It'd be great to be a teacher cause although they dont get paid a hell of a lot, they get probably the best vacation time out of any other profession. On the other hand I hate school and kids suck.

Astronomer would be awesome, or something to do with that, I've always been really interested in all that.

Realistically though, what's probably gonna happen is I'll go into one of the trades, hopefully Carpentry, or something of the sort. I love building stuff with my hands.

I am thinkign graphical design or somthing like that. Or marketing or something. However, I need to ski like 4 days a week. SO Ill probably end up being a ski bum for a while or instructing or something or I may do some real estate or something. TO support my sking.

I'm gonna start out as an enginner, but I would like to start my own company. That's what I'm doing with my second degree, the business side of things. The engineering should get me a good job right out of school, but that will get old. I will hopefully meet the proper investors, and start my company by 28-30.

do u think a ski instructor would be to stuffy? b//c thats the only job i know that you could ski like all the time and get paid for it, unless ur a pro and i dont think im that good. and you could go to chile in the summer. if not.. work for a pr firm.
