Hey guys, I'm getting into programming and currently I'm not working on any projects. I was thinking I might make an app that'd be related to skiing. Anyone have any ideas or requests? Thanks!

More like a tinder for skiers, you post a few photos/videos of what you do/what your outerwear is so people can instantly know if you're a gaper or not, and you swipe left or right and if you both think you're chill enough to ride with you match and can link up. Selectable for dudes or chicks (or both).

Nowadays, people are taking pictures, right? They have their phones now; they're out. Something catches their eye, they want to take it. But then the photo's just sitting there... what if they take that photo and instantaneously put it out there on the line and they share it with their friends? You're taking the photo instantaneously, you're putting the photo out there on the line and I'm creating an exchange. Now you've taken a photo instantaneously, or not instantaneously, and then you take those and you send those out on the line. You don't have to say shit. You don't. You just say, "I like that photo," and you share that photo instantaneously on the line with your friends. Now everyone's exchanging ideas. Everyone's exchanging photos! And that's why the photos that are being shared on the line... It will be known as "Exchangeagram."

I really like Walter's idea. Before starting to code stuff, I need some ideas. So this what I'm thinking so far:
-Name
-Description (gear, what terrain you like to ski/ride, etc.)
-Messaging (to connect/meet up with other skiers and riders)
-Home Mountain
-Status Updates (such as what mountain you're currently at, etc)
-Pictures (hopefully videos, but I'll see what I can do!)

why not just have each mountain to check into, and once youre in you can look to see who else is there and check out a (very limited) profile and pic of them and message them if you wanna ride together?

Since I'm on a small hill in Illinois it'd be cool if you had the ability to narrow down your location AND broaden it. I wouldn't have much interaction if it was just your home mountain, but if I could open it up and view west coast to east coast, the people here in the midwest would get more interaction.

I really like all the ideas but it's gonna start out as a basic app. I mean, it could take up to a year or two just because I have to get a server ready, code it, make sure I have all the privacy plug-ins so nobody gets hacked, etc.
But I'm also open to making two apps at once. But of course this one has to be more basic (for example, Ski Dice). This app would be probably be finished earlier for that reason.
